Well, it's a good thing that you're not talking to me since I'm more of a Yankee than you could ever dream of being.
What I find funny is that little bitch arse Mizzou is trying to talk shite to a real blue blood... something that your team will never be. In any sport.
Like anyone gives a ripping rat's arse what a ridge running pole smoker like you thinks.
Didn't you already embarrass yourself enough in this thread? LINK
Don't speak to me unless spoken too, boy...

Well, I'm not from some shite hole like Missouri. That's what matters.

Nope. That was in the heat of the moment after a game that my team should have won. You embarrass yourself on a daily basis on this board with your arse hurt anti-Kentucky rhetoric though.

I'm not a boy. I still have bigger balls than your simple arse though.

You're very witty. Probably shouldn't mess with CatFan81, I'm pretty sure you can't handle her.

I have no jimmies. Nice try though.

Mom went to Kentucky and lived there for like 12 years. Grew up a huge UK basketball fan. I still keep up with them even though my college degree will say University of Alabama on it.
Being a fan of the 2 doesn't really interfere with anything. Shockingly I know I am not the only one on here who does the same thing.
Same here. Grew up in Kansas, born and raised a big KU (yes, even football ) fan. Moved down here and go to the UofA.
So no, I'm not a troll (always) trying to piss off Mizzou fans

Dude seriously, you are and always will be Missouri. That will never change. Tell me exactly what is your claim to fame? Norm Stewart?

CatFan,
It is you that have rustled his jimmies. Tigers used to be the red headed stepchild of Kansas and Oklahoma State and they just had 5 NCAA titles between them. Now they have Kentucky with 8 NCCAA banners by itself. If Kansas was the red headed stepchild of Kentucky imagine how far down the Tigers are right about now. The smart one know they are fighting an uphill battle but the window lickers in the group really think UK will be easier that KU when the exact opposite is the more likely outcome.
It is a numbers game, and they switched from the foothill that was KU to the mountain that is UK.
UK = 8 NCAA Championships, 3 NCAA Runner Up, 15 Final Fours, and 52 bids = MOUNTAIN
KU = 3 NCAA Championships, 6 NCAA Runner Up, 14 Final Fours, and 42 bids = HILLS
MU = 0 NCAA Championships, 0 NCAA Runner Up, 00 Final Fours, and 25 bids = molehills

Kentucky vs Kansas (1950-2012) all games = 27
(UK plays KU almost every other year for over 1/2 a century
Kentucky wins = 21 / 27 = 77.78% wins
Kansas wins = 6 / 27 = 22.22% wins
77.78% > 22.22%
Math does not lie my friend, math does not lie.
If you want it by decades, here is the breakdown
1950's : UK 2-0, KU 0-2 - Kansas never beat Adolph Rupp
1960's : UK 1-0, KU 0-1 - Kansas never beat Adolph Rupp
1970's : UK 8-1, KU 1-8 - 1 Loss under Joe Hall in 1973
1980's : UK 5-2, KU 2-5 - 1 Loss under Eddie Sutton in 1985, and 1 loss under Rick Pitino in 1989
1990's : UK 3-0, KU 0-3
2000's : UK 0-3, KU 3-0 - All 3 losses by Tubby Smith
2010's : UK 2-0, KU 0-2 - No losses this decade so far
Put another way, half of the wins by Kansas were under Tubby Smith or the dominance of Kansas by Kentucky could look much worse.

I agree with those 8. I'd say its been a wash between us and Arizona. They've been to one more final four since 88, have 3 more conference titles, and we both have 1 title. But I'm biased

Well, you've declared yourself to be an inbred hunter (it says so under your avatar) so you shouldn't be looking for your sisters in Kentucky or any other southern state. You sidewalk Mizzou fans are a riot.
Oh, and Irish eyes are smiling:

I'm not saying KU is an overall better program. But to say we're a foothill in the world of college basketball is laughable. Whatever. This is an SEC board, not trying to start that argument.

This was the way I said it on the first go round with the window lickers...
Sadly, I did not spell it out for them so I had to take it up a notch. Not trying to start that argument either, just trying to make the observation that if Mizzou had a hard time with Kansas in the Big 8 / Big 12, life will only get harder when UK replaces KU. They are under the delusion (possibly all that meth) that it will get easier now that they are away from KU.
Some Mizzou posters are pretty cool and some you just want to get out the Spice Weasel and take it up a notch.

I thought that is what it used to seat? You mean they spend over 100 million and did not add a seat? Basically some UCLA contractor just rode the Bruins to finance his retirement plans! What in the heck did they spend all that money on?
Arizona may have seen their glory days with Lute and now that Utah is in the PAC they may rise back up. UCLA will always be a pack leader tho even if they are not the alpha dog in a given year.
Lets say this is the 8
Rock solid
North Carolina - with the Dean Dome and multiple winning coaches they are stable
Kansas - has a pretty solid lock on the Big 12
Indiana - even if they stay in Assembly it is still a big venue
Kentucky - will be very hard to knock out long, only school with NCAA banners from 5 different coaches. Pretty impressive feat
Stable or moving up
Louisville - 3 banners and the new YUM keeps moving them up
Michigan State - even post Izzo, they should still be solid
Need to see if they survive their first big coach
Duke - all 4 banners came from just 1 coach, will have to prove worth in a post K world
Connecticut - Like Duke in that everything came from just one coach and the AAC will not have the positive flow they got in the ole Big East.

quote:I hit the wrong number. Its 13,800 something. Not 12. Added 1000 seats and gave it some much needed renovation. I am very much against Alford but well see what happens. We are still one of the blue bloods and will always be "good" and we have shown that we can still be a modern power after our mid 2000s run. Hopefully Alford is the guy but I'm not convinced
I thought that is what it used to seat

Watched some of the UK scrimmage and all I can say is the rest of CBB better be ready. I have not seen that much overall talent on the floor at one school ever. Can they live up to the hype? I don't know but they will be worth watching a few times over the course of the season.
