Melvin Booker played in the NBA for awhile in addition to Europe. But don't let your lack of actual knowledge get in the way of your smug bullshite that you pull out of your arse.

He has a point. We currently have 22 players in the NBA. You have four.

You have 12 former NBA players. We have 86.

Your coach and program's philosophy is to go after one and done top prospects who already know they are going to the NBA. The argument that Kentucky can better develop those players to make them NBA is pretty much horse shite. Those 5 star kids are gonna make the NBA whether they play at Kentucky or at Eastern Kentucky. Melvin Booker had NO scholarship offers in D1 besides Mizzou, but he made the NBA under the tutoring he got at Mizzou under Norm Stewart...while the parade All-American Kentucky boy he replaced, Travis Ford, did NOT make the NBA after playing at UK under Pitinio. Nothing magical about UK at all, and Cheese Grits' statement was smug bullshite with nothing to back it up.

"Learned so much from (former Mizzou coach) Norm Stewart in the 2 hours I was with him. One of the greatest to ever coach." - Devin Booker last weekend

That's a very recent thing for our program. Look at the number of FORMER NBA players per program. You've only had 16 NBA players EVER... and that includes your current four.

You're going off a wikipedia page that needs some serious editing. I don't know the specific number off the top of my head, but looking at that page you are counting off of the list does not include multiple Mizzou players I know for a fact played in the NBA including Willie Smith, Byron Irvin, Gary Leonard, Derek Grimm, Clay Johnson, etc.

I never heard anyone pronounce it that way during my time in Lexington.

Also, if no one cares about the Cats, then why is this thread nine pages, and why are you in it?

UCLA has been a sub elite program since Papa Sam was disconnected to the Bruin program
weve been to a final four every single decade, had multiple sweet 16 runs in the 90s, and were dominant in the middle 2000s. yea weve only won one championship since wooden but for the most part, we have always been one of the top programs in the country

Fine. According to your media guide you've had 43 players drafted or picked up after that. That's still far less than half of the number that we've had. Wikipedia isn't 100% for us either. We've actually had 120 players drafted or picked up after the draft.

So, basically, you're arse hurt? Yeah, that's what it sounds like. Not so long ago, your football program was even worse than ours.

If you say so, Cleatus.

That's why we own the overall record with them in football and basketball huh?

Reading comprehension may not be your skill if you do not understand the difference between the word played and career

Melvin Jermaine Booker (born August 20, 1972 in Pascagoula, Mississippi) played for the Houston Rockets (1995–96), Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors (1996–97) in the NBA for 32 games.

Playing 32 games in the NBA is not Jamal Mashburn playing from 1993 - 2004

Playing less than a half a season of actual games is not playing a decade.
