Instead of arguing for why Grantham should stay, you call me an imbecile and an arse.

I didn't notice anywhere in my post where I called deeprig9 an imbecile or an arse.

However, if you are one of the posters who believe that if BVG was our DC that we would some how have significantly different results then you can do the math.

Nah I'm good dude, plus I would prefer to debate rather than argue it seems to be more productive from my experience.

My opinion, your opinion, anyone on this board's opinion is completely irrelevant as to whether or not CTG will stay because he will be here next year unless he "takes his talents" back to the NFL. The only other way he is not Between The Hedges next fall is if we manage to lose to Vandy, Kentucky, UF, and GT or any 3 of the 4.

I agree they are annoying but if you actually read a few of them you will see that most (not all) are fairly comical. I sweat to God I saw one yesterday where some asshat was saying we need to bring BVG back, pure comedy gold if you ask me.

The individuals who start these threads need to save themselves some time and effort and just accept the facts. We all know CMR will NOT make a change unless he is forced too and he all know that it will take more than 3 or 4 losses to do that. The only way CTG goes anywhere after the season is if he does so on his own accord. Any talk of "possible replacements" is completely and utterly useless at this point.

Couldnt agree more.

What is the point of the whole board, really? The games that have already been played cannot be changed, so why bother discussing them. The coaching staff doesn't care what anyone here thinks, and none of us are active players, so no point in discussing the games yet to be played. We have no say in recruiting or personnel, so no point in discussing those topics, either.

While, I admitted that I find the notion of discussing CTG's departure as borderline retarded I clearly stated that I supported anyone who wishes to start a thread and state their opinion. Hell, I'm sure that some threads I enjoy make others eyes roll into the back of their heads, it's give and take.

Personally, in season, I just find the threads about new coordinators to be redundant as frick and just really boring, but again that is just my opinion. Now if you want to have this discussion during bowl season I'm all in.

You can't win...there are some d-bags on this board who view it like a fraternity. Some of 'em are just more interested in flaming each other (and especially newbies) than discussing football...

Same sort of folks who actually think their post count on some internet forum has street cred in the real world.

Grantham is awful.

Grantham is awful and has been awful since day one....the fat frick came into the league like he had already won a couple of Natty's and has only proven to be mediocre at best. Some of us knew he was a bust when he was insistent on running his defense despite the fact that everyone knew the talent wasn't there for it....that ain't a coach....a coach gets what they can out of what they got...especially in CFB where turnover is probably 24 months on avaerage for players.

I don't think our defense would be any worse without a coordinator....I think if the D played like a youth football D where everyone simply lined up and reacted to the ball our run defense last year would have been no worse off and the talent we have this year would make up for a lot of mistakes made due to trying to adhere to a system. At the end of the day I don't think LSU or Clemson or USC or Missouri score anymore points than they did.....the only stops we are getting are stops that the opposing team is making themselves....third down means nothing to this team right now...and you ain't winning many games against quality teams when third down means nothing....

The defense should pull a varsity blues moment and tell CTG that the only way they are going back out there is without him.
