A) Bama doesn't lose to Kentucky, we aren't LSU. B) no. too many teams brah. And Kentucky.
LSU doesn't always lose to Kentucky, but when we do, we still beat Bama.

As long as your team has the title of sec champ? Sure. You and I know it's laughable to have a national champ that wasn't even the champ of its own division, let alone conf.
Doesn't matter, got crystal.

do you think a one loss Bama gets in over another one loss team like Stanford or Oregon?
absolutely not...especially if that loss were to UK.

If Bama loses to Kentucky in a close, surprising way but runs the table the rest of the way and wins the SEC, do you think a one loss Bama gets in over another one loss team like Stanford or Oregon?
Since we're getting hypothetical up in here, Kentucky *could* win out and, at 8-4, be considered a solid SEC team. In that case the Alabama loss would be shocking but not a world breaker.
but if you are asking what would happen if Kentucky is the bad we all assume they are, then Alabama would absolutely deserve to be passed over for a 1 loss Pac12 champ. "our loss is better" was the argument the tide had in 2011, what would the argument be now?

If LSU can lose to Kentucky AND Arkansas and still make the NC game Bama will still make it.

I don't think they can given LSU already has a loss and doesn't play Kentucky.

This is the thought behind the thread. If the argument wouldn't work for Bama in 2013, then it shouldn't work for OSU in 2011.
I don't think OSU fans actually think they were one of the 2 best teams in the country in 2011 (I mean they don't think it now with the benefit of retrospection. I'm sure they thought they were one of two best at the time).
Basically, it is an old, tired argument that some (read: LSU fans) cling to in any thread that mentions 2011, Bama championships, top programs, etc.

That no one respects. You weren't the best team in your division. Let alone conference.

My statement was referring to past occurances.

I didn't even know who bama was playing this weekend.

Is this actually a discussion? I'm hopeful for our team, but I'm hoping we split the MSU/UT/VU/Mizzou games.

Yes. Bama would get in.
Just like LSU in 2007 or Alabama in 2011.
If Alabama loses to Kentucky and goes on to beat LSU and Auburn and then wins the SECCG against Georgia or Florida or South Carolina, they will most definitely have the best resume.
For one, Virginia Tech will finish with 3 losses, so they should be a top 20 team. A&M will probably have 2 or 3 losses or maybe even one loss and with the hype of Manziel, they will be top 15. Auburn has greatly improved and could easily be a top 25 team come the Iron Bowl. LSU will be a top 15 team. The SECCG will also feature a top ten matchup.
No other team in the country with one loss will be able to make the argument.

If Bama loses to UK, that will not be their only loss. But, to answer your question...hell no.

No way. If Alabama is upset by Kentucky they will not make up enough ground by seasons end. Would be a terrible loss, similar to Okie State losing to ISU in 2011. Even if they won the SEC they probably wouldn't be ranked higher than 4th in the final poll.
What he said.

If bama loses to Kentucky , lsu is gonna shite in Bama's mouth and make them ask for more. Fact.
And to be completely honest, what he said too.
Nobody outside of LSU and UGA have the chance to make it to the title game with a loss this year and even their chances aren't too good. There are simply too many undefeated teams with too few schedule challenges this year.

Better chance Saban runs to Austin 10 seconds after shaking Stoops' hand.

For once I agree with an LSU fan. BUT Bama won't lose to Kentucky and will go on to beat LSU, resulting in more schedule threads on SECr
