I understand that some things Kiper says are crazy but he stated this morning that where AJ is picked up all depends on how strong his arm actually is. He said that will determine if he is considered a 1/2 round or 3/4 round guy. He also said that if Mett continues to improve the way he has he will definitely go before AJ. Said that Murrays size will be his downfall.

I say this, if Jacksonville has the 1st overall pick, I think they would be all over Manziel. It seems like a typical Jacksonville-esq pick.

No doubt. Then they'd bring in Tebow to "mentor" him and immediately create a QB controversy. Such a Jags thing to do.

I think they'll all go in the first two rounds, certainly in the first three. Who goes first will depend on what kind of team is drafting the QB first. Is it a spread team? If so they'll take JFF. If it's more of a pro-style system they'll take McCarron or Mett. Murray will go last IMO due to his height, even though at the moment I feel like he might be the best pure passer of all of them.
It's hard to predict where a QB will go. With a QB class this deep (including non-conference), every team that needs a QB will have a certain skill set they want, and on top of that, almost every team will grade these QBs differently.
For obvious reasons, Manziel is the safest pick to go first.
Also, we're 5 weeks into the season. A lot of football left.

Safest pick for an NFL team or safest bet to go first if you are taking a guess here on the rant?

Right now, I'd think he or McCarron is the safest bet depending on the team. By the end of the year I think it might be Manziel or Mett.

Safest guess here on the rant.
He's unique, and someone is gonna reach for him.
Personally, I think Mett, McCarron, and Murray will have longer, more successful careers.

I think Murray is gonna hold a clipboard at the next level but he is a very good college QB.

:kige:
But he should be able to do hold that clipboard for a long time. He's a smart kid and has talent, just some physical restraints that will keep him from being a starter in the NFL.

UCLA kid
JFF
Murray/AJ
Mett
Although Mett has enough of a season left to play his way above Murray/AJ.

You think his height will hold him back, or something else?
His height may cause him to slip to third round, but there are a lot of 6'0" QBs in the league.

Murray isn't immobile lol.

Manziel probably goes first because some GM will think he can make this work
Chip Kellly will be foaming at the mouth if JFF is available when Philly picks.

Yep. I don't think he isn't as immobile as he is being made out to be but the height is going to get him the clipboard. He isn't as accurate or as smart as Drew Brees. I think Brees is really the last of a dying breed.

See, I think Mett has already outplayed AJ this season. Plus, I'm a little curious about AJ's arm strength.
Its still too early to project. This time last year, everyone KNEW Geno Smith would be the first QB off the board, and prob a top 10 pick. Jets took him with the 39th.

Manziel in Philadelphia could be sick if Chip last's that long.

Mett has played better than AJ so far this year, but that's less than half a season. AJ has proved it over 2.5 years and has won national titles each year he's been the starter. If Mett proves it over the full course of a season, then I'd expect him to be drafted ahead of AJ because I think he has a higher upside. Scouts need to see him perform at a high level for more than 4-5 games first though.
