So we had an amazing drive to beat an SEC foe in that last seconds of a game and this is a bad thing? It was Nick's first ever REAL game, as well as many others, and we still found a way to win. LSU has played less than noone and still allowed points. Our D has allowed less points if I'm not mistaken and played much more quality opponents.

Stop listening to what you hear on the Rant or ESPN and just form your own, educated opinion. We were ONE CAUGHT PUNT AWAY from beating them last year, and they are still the same team to me. But we are not. WE are much more disciplined, more confident, and much better prepared. So, what gives you this idea that we have no chance again? WAR DAMN EAGLE, I'll be rooting for a win til the last second and if we lose, I'll be talking scrit about LSU just like always and how they got lucky with some BS.

It's very possible for Auburn to win the game. However, AU is going to get murdered by the pass if Holland plays.

Damn you sunshine pumping homer. Let me, a guy who thinks we can pull off an upset, educate you so you can have a

educated opinion.

When we were up against the Grinders, a team embarrassed by OSU and likely to not win more than 5 games it shouldn't be a good thing. It's like finding 100$ to pay off a loanshark, it is awesome but why the frick did you put yourself in a position to borrow from a loanshark

quote:

It was Nick's first ever REAL game

One game doesn't give you adequate experience so I expect people to be saying "It was Nick's first ever REAL game against high SEC competition" if things don't go well. He should be better but it isn't like he is some battle hardened SEC veteran

LSU is notorious for playing down to their competition.

quote:

Our D has allowed less points if I'm not mistaken and played much more quality opponents.

And a frick ton more yards. LSU will be one of the best Redzone scoring offenses we play this year. Jeremy Hill's pounding ability plus Mettenberger's improved passing ability will be difficult. Best QB and RB we will have faced up to that point

They clearly are a different team and one that improved as last year went along. I do not believe their defense is as solid but their offense clearly has taken strides. Let's also not forget that Jeremy Hill emerged toward the later half of last year and sat out early this season.

Cam Cameron is running their offense which clearly is an improvement, Zach Mettenberger is throwing more consistently, Jeremy Hill is a pounder which bodes poorly for Jake Holland and Odell Beckham is the deep threat that actually makes plays.

quote:

But we are not.

Well this is actually true

quote:

So, what gives you this idea that we have no chance again?

We have a chance but not even close to being 50% considering we have a inexperienced/young team going to Baton Rouge. We have brought a number of better teams to Death Valley and drove away with losses. I was told by a former All SEC player that you have to play mistake free football to win at Baton Rouge. That is a tall task for a team as young and prone to mistakes as we have been

quote:

I'll be rooting for a win til the last second

I am 99.9% sure everyone who posts here will do the same (0.1% for the possibility of an alter on this board)

quote:

I'll be talking scrit about LSU just like always and how they got lucky with some BS

If they outplay us, there is nothing wrong with admitting it. Allows us to recognize flaws in our team and improve.

This game will be an indicator of how far we have come. Then an off-week.

As long as we play hard and fight for 4 quarters, then that is all we can ask for the men in Orange and Blue. I will still be disappointed, but not mad (see last year).

Cool, you took everything I said and put your own spin on it, which you're entitled to do. I stand by everything I said, and you can't prove it wrong; because it's an opinion.

All I was getting at is you nor anyone else has any idea how the game is going to go down, that's why we play em. Therefore, don't go around with your tail between your legs cuz the rest of the rant thinks we're no good. Personally, I don't give a hoot what you think, but I know what I believe and I'ma stand by it. We've progressed every week, and if we play to our ability, we have a great chance to win this game.

The implication of your earlier post was that we were wrong for taking the realistic spin on the information available and not being homers as seen

We did educate ourselves and I was educating you on being realistic

I don't. I tell others we are the greatest ever.

Never disagreed with this

Is Bobby Lowder in Auburn? I have seen a guy two days in a row who looks just like him.

Never seen him in person but wasn't what I expected

For my 5000th post, I may do a Bobby Lowder appreciation thread. Talk about Jimmy Rustlin

I love Lowder just because how polarizing him. I recognize he did good and bad things but as a character in Auburn's story, he plays an interesting role

I will allow that in the anticipation that Milton McGregor is mentioned at some point in your post.

Send me the rough draft.

I get that the crowd is drunk but shite, why does this stadium have such mystique? Loud is loud. I think people allow themselves to get psyched out sometimes.

Was the guy a short(not Saban short, but pretty short) racist(not Klan racist, but pretty racist)? If so, it's probably him.

My 10K thread was a game thread during the Heat/pacers playoffs. I added some "images" at random times during the thread.

A few of these
