Although many Cajuns use the word in regard to themselves, other Cajuns view the term as an ethnic slur against the Cajun people, especially when used by non-Cajuns.

Socioeconomic factors appear to influence how Cajuns are likely to view the term: working-class Cajuns tend to regard the word "coonass" as a badge of ethnic pride, whereas middle- and upper-class Cajuns are more likely to regard the term as insulting or degrading

Oh, I was watching Boy Meets World earlier, and the term "wop" got used. I thought we might have watched the same thing

If you are comparing the badness of two words and you won't even say one of them, that's the worse word.

I can say coonass because I'm from Louisiana

We actually don't even have the ability to say the N word, or the F derogatory word either. Still, that's pretty solid evidence that those two are among the worst (if not the worst) derogatory terms
