My company regularly hires chemistry grad students to do short term research and pays them much better than LSU. Besides this analogy isn't comparable. If someone asked you to wear a certain brand of lab coat and offered you $500 to do so, would you be allowed to or investigated for it?

ETA: I'm ducking out of this argument since it's always the same or bloody slap fight, but I'm not suggesting the school pay players. I think the NCAA owes players a cut of what their likeness earns, not that LSU should be handing all ticket profits to players.

If a player is good enough to be on the cover of NCAA 14' then he deserves a cut for promoting the game that EA cut the NCAA a check for.

If they are LSU students they are in violation of the employment contract.
