Which begs a serious question. How come these facilities always seem to cost in the 20 - 40 million range?
Auburn's is brand new and cost $12.5 million.

, Alabama and Georgia's look the worst.
Alabama has the largest indoor practice facility in the country, and it's connected to the nicest athletic training facility in the country.

And we say Hi back, just from a nicer facility.

Mizzou and UGA facilities suck. Is Georgia's really only a 20 yard field?
It looks like Ole Misshas the largest considering it's a full field with a track around too.

Hey, Michigan was pretty open about the fact that they regretted building their ceiling like that (as I recall, they had the first indoor practice facility in the entire country, so there weren't really any existing facilities to tour to generate ideas from). Since that time, most other schools have built their facilities with roofs like Michigan's. I guess that it's the cheaper option, but, like Michigan, the other schools will soon find out why going cheaper is not always the best route.

the guy in our dept detailed this building.. i have the plans at the desk across from me..
Getting those I beams rolled to that radius on the rooftop was not cheap.

The location of the facility plays a part too. You would need a larger pitch on the roof at Michigan to shed snow during the winter than you would need in Arizona, for example.
The pitch would dictate how high the side wall would need to be to get the interior height to what you want.

A&M spent more on their football only S&C facility than Bama spent on their all sports S&C facility.
Aggie non-football players getting a new facility built on west side of campus.
Aggies hardly ever use their indoor practice facility as Sumlin wants his players out in the heat.

Bama doesnt really have an all sports facility. They have a football facility, and an all other sports facility. And I doubt A+M spent more on it than Bama did.

Doubtful as well with all the cheap manual labor available in Tejas.

Ceilings are much too low, and UK's track cuts into their playing field. Can't practice sideline passes or corner routes into the endzone.
That's why we have three practice fields right outside of the football training facility.

Surprisingly, out of SEC indoor facilities, Alabama and Georgia's look the worst. I'd expect them both to be near the top.
what does this even mean? its obvious why Georgia's sucks, but Alabama's literally looks exactly like all of the others, only its like 20% larger than the rest. Its a field with a roof over it.

A full size facility would have to either take up one of the outdoor practice fields or be located a couple of miles away on South Milledge Avenue near the Softball/Soccer stadiums.
Exactly...as things are currently. What we SHOULD do is build a new Spec-Towns track complex (indoor and outdoor) on South Milledge and replace the current Spec-Towns, which is right beside the currently indoor stretching facility and practice fields, with a full size football IPF.
That would easily be the best idea, but I've no confidence our cheap-arse BOT will ever actually do it.

Alabama's IPC is almost 30 years old.

And ruin the country club atmosphere/architecture being cultivated in Athens since Michael Adams took over as President? Are you nuts?
I really, really do hate this man. He shite all over athletics and supposedly concentrated on the academics and fund-raising, but I haven't noticed any great advancement in our academic standing and I'm pretty the majority of that fund-raising went into he and his friends pockets.
Oh, and the guy replacing him is just a mindless crony that is among the worst people employed by UGA when it comes to playing favorites. Don't expect any great change regarding the way things are run with that timid little girl in charge.
