Bear;s name showing up on our stadium drawings resulted in a great deal of discussion. It is widely thought the Architects put it there as a place holder.
The general consensus among Aggies was that while we recognize his contributions at A&M, Bear Bryant belongs to Alabama. We do not believe it is appropriate for his name to be on the Kyle Field entrance.
As suggested there would be a lot of support for Gene Stallings name to be posted.

Thanks for catching that. Was looking at basketball stuff while I had Norton bio up, Now I have to recheck if I did the same in those notes.
