There is no 2nd place SEC tie breakers, as LSU fans loved to point out in 2010 when they finished third in the west.
There isn't?

I think when we are discussing 2 teams who had the same record in the regular season the only way to decide which one was better is the head to head matchup.
Head to head doesn't decide every time, like in your example.
Meh, I could have used the mirror image for 2006 as well.

You guys are like a nagging little 5 year old boy. Whats worse is you come in swarms like a cloud of nats. We need a raid bomb for the SEC rant.

So the tie breaker is alphabetical order because that is how ESPN lists them on their website for teams with the same record 2nd place and below in the division?

soooo 10-3>11-2?
By your Logic 13-1>12-1

I thought Arkansas had a more successful 2010 and 2006.
I'm not really concerned with the end result, but they got to the Sugar Bowl in 2010, and the SEC Championship in 2006. Doesn't mean Arkansas was better than LSU, especially since we beat you in '06, but they had a more successful season.
A&M had a more successful season than LSU in 2012, but they were not better. They rewarded by subjective bowl committees and a silent SEC office.

Scoreboard doesn't matter anymore man, it's all about those final rankings!

Lsu 24 > A&M 19 - So LSU was the better team?
A&M 29 > Bama 24 - So A&M was the better team?
National champions 2012 BABY!

Explain why Alabama is behind Miss State and Arkansas when they all had 4-4 conference records?

Neither team achieved much.
A&M acts like it won a crystal trophy.
LSU goes into next year with a purpose.
We beat your arse. If your happy with thinking
you had a better year then LSU and that makes
you sleep better good for u.

Arkansas didn't even make a bowl game. I can't remember the last time LSU didn't make a bowl game. Also when was the last time Arkansas won a NC?

Oh well :(

To be fair, if they ever beat us, it would be their championship.

Over all record.
The SEC only has tie breaker procedures in place for 1st place of the division, ESPN lists them however they hell they want.

That doesn't make sense either... Texas A&M had a better overall record and they are listed behind LSU

not hard to figure out. We both lost to Florida from the east. We both had one western division loss and we won the head to head matchup

Like I said, however they want to list them.
Go to the basketball standings, several years you can find teams below 2nd in the division with the same records who are below the team they beat twice in that season according to ESPN.
