I don't see the need to add Bama posters here. It would be one thing if there weren't already 100 different places to see their opinions or if they were shy about expressing their opinions but neither is the case. Adding them because one doesn't want to have to go to another board and look isn't a good enough reason imo. It is much harder to find a place where Auburn fans can speak freely and not be called a bammer for posting that sometimes our shite does in fact stink and for that reason I am against adding any Bama posters. We have a good board with a good mix of posibarners and negabarners here and I see no reason to tinker with it.

I'm going purely off of what the posters that frequent this board feel will improve the board.
I'm a little skeptical of this whole idea, but if enough people think it's a good idea we can give it a trial run.

Is it possible for you to make another forum for the people that want bama fans here?

That's fair. I mean I see the obvious potential pitfalls of the idea but I have never advocated for anything other than a trial basis. Either it works or it doesn't and we can always revert back to the status quo. That is just me
Say it works out till IB week and then they go full retard, a quick sweep gets rid of them all no problems.

Chicken and Circus Child are the two guys who are in charge of everything that takes place server side on this site, meaning they control the board layout. I doubt they'll want to muddle the SEC board structure anymore than it already is to accommodate fan crossovers though TBH, but you can run the idea on the help board if you want their feedback.

Who gets to decide if a bama poster is being offensive?
Some people love the rant and some people hate it.
I would imagine there would be a lot of disagreement over when a poster should be banned.

Surprised that some of the people advocating for this on the help board (and opposed) have not cast their votes

Admins. That's what the RA feature is for.

I would advocate for Ross having a short leash (which I would imagine he would plan on) and for us to use the RA feature to gauge that
Also, Ross, can this vote take place over the next couple days before we shut it down incase people don't log on today for whatever reason?

Why should I have to worry about having to RA a Bama fan on an Auburn message board?

This is all happening quickly. I say the poll needs to stay up at least a week for accurate results.

Fine with me, let's give it a week. End it next Sunday at noon.

Where is the official poll thread?

Thats what LSU fans thought about tigerdroppings years ago and look how that turned out. Seemed to have worked out okay

Sorry if it's already been said but there is no point to letting Bama perspective on our board. If you want their perspectives on recruits read their recruiting board. If you still have questions or want to interact with them do it on the SEC Rant and SEC recruiting board. I am perfectly nice and cozy staying in the Auburn forum and don't want outsiders in here.

Top. The one that Gene started. I'm sure he won't miss any votes

We need some Alabama perspectives over here when it comes to some things and most people granted access to other boards don't even post there that often.
Lol

That's my point. I come in here to read the info you post in the recruiting thread. During the season, we'll complain/praise our team. I don't want to see an "A" when I come to post/read, and chat with AU people. I can go to the rant for other needs.

Holy balls guys
The Ole Miss board has State posters
The State board has Ole Miss posters
Neither of which have turned into massive whining, crying, flamefests.
It can be done.
It is being done.
It can work.
If it is done in moderation, with moderation ($1 to Magilla), it can be an improvement to the board.
This "circling the wagons" mentality is getting a little old and is one of the reasons why I've changed my stance on this so fast.

Friday would probably be fine Ross. Just so it doesn't drag on and turn into a drawn out bitch fest.
Just a suggestion...
Personally, I am not really adament about it either way. I voted no because I honestly do not see the point but not a big deal either way to me as I expect any bama fans admitted would be on good behavior (or else). Just don't want a long squabble about it on our board...
