That defensive performance was a thing of beauty. From Chavis' adjustments to the corralling of JFF. And let's face it that last touchdown was garbage time.
I've said before JFF got hit harder in that game than all other games they played combined last year.

UF smacked him around good in the 2nd half against A&M last year, but I agree. LSU's defense ripped him to pieces that entire game.

The only other game where JFF actually got squared up was Florida. I don't think he got hit solidly the rest of the year. Ole Miss may have put a decent hit him a couple of times.

Manziel's gonna have about 5 red bull and vodka's in him come game time and run all over LSU.

I will agree with this, if the same Manziel from that game shows up next year A&M will lose. That was easily his worst game of the year. He made one bad decision after another and also had some pretty terrible luck. I give LSU credit for a lot of that but Manziel settled down considerably after that game and stopped trying to force things.
The biggest thing LSU did in that game was have the speed to contain him in the pocket and take away his scramble running, of course Montgomery and Mingo are gone now. After that game Johnny realized he couldn't just make it happen on the fly and had to work within the offense and then he became nearly unstoppable. Bama took away his running and Manziel just started throwing bullets, he hadn't figured that out yet against LSU.
LSU played well and won, congrats. Honestly I think that loss probably helped A&M to realize how much they needed to step up by the time they played Bama, ever since then it has been a different team. Keep hoping that you get the same Manziel from last year though, I know I would in your shoes.

I wish. Going to an aggie/lsu game in tiger stadium is on my bucket list.
Not in the cards for this year, tho, unfortunately.
Go Spurs Go, at any rate!

LSU being able to square up Manziel has nothing to do with his execution of the offense. It has everything to do with Manziel's talent running with the football vs LSU's talent and ability to catch him.
We're talking strictly natural abilities here. When JFF did take off, LSU got good looks at him. That wasn't the case 90% of the time he did that.
It's also funny how games against LSU are always some kind of aberration to be rationalized away. Oregon is still searching for excuses too. LSU is built around speed on defense. That won't change. You realize what everybody was saying about our defense this time last year after losing so much talent right?
But, yea, Manziel had a bad day.

Lets just compare LSU and A&M then. You really think A&M has only one position that is better than LSU (I am assuming JFF is your reasoning)?
I could argue that A&M's whole offense is superior to LSU.
A&M has 4 RBs (Ben, B. Williams, T. Williams, and Tra) that can get the job done.
We are losing Joekel which will hurt, but their O-line should be just as good this year.
Also I don't see any LSU receiver being better than Evans this year.

You miss the point. LSU did a great job of containing Manziel but they were giving up the short passing game and the run game by the RB's. Manziel just did a poor job of recognizing this and tried to play superman too often. Against Bama when they sold out to contain his running he started throwing the ball quite successfully. The point to him executing the offense is to take what is given to him instead of just trying to wing it.
Essentially it is how he evolved throughout the year. In the first half of the season he still played way too much like the HS phenom that could just out athlete everybody. That cost him against UF and LSU. After that he started calling more audibles at the line and working within the flow of the offense (which is designed to read the D at the line and then call the play).
He also appeared too pumped up against LSU and it cost him. He took off too early, he made bad reads on his run angles, and he tried to force some bad passes. After that game he started settling down and taking what was given and A&M scored on about 75% of his possessions from that point on. His confidence level after Bama was off the charts and no other team was even competitive after that point.
I give LSU full credit for their play that day, it was excellent. I just think you are in for a rude awakening if you think the same Manziel shows up next year making poor decisions and not realizing the speed of the LSU D. Doesn't mean A&M wins but it is unlikely Manziel plays as badly as he did that day.

He doesn't seem to read progressions very well just wings it
