Fwiw I think AJ is Matt Flynn. Will knock on the door of being a starter but never really break through

It's mostly our system, which is set up for longevity instead of needing a great quarterback to run it. Adversely however, USC has sent more sought-after quarterbacks to the NFL recently who have been busts.
I can't really think of many teams lately that have just produced quarterbacks year in and year out (besides USC)

Bama NFL QB is not a part of "The Boring Ole Saban Fried Process".

That boring QB sure has worked over LSU the last two times they've played.

Perfect rebman thread.
Drop bombs then bail.

Since '99: Akili Smith, Joey Harrington, Kellen Clemens, AJ Feeley, Dennis Dixon all were drafted and busted. Oregon is definitely not far behind. Two guys in the 1st round, a 2nd rounder and the two 6th rounders. AJ Feeley was the best of the bunch and never started.

Had one drive in the last game. Still wont be a decent NFL QB.

Name an NFL throw he can't make?

Name the current NFL QB you think he is.

I don't get it? He's still in college, I'm guessing he thinks he's AJ?

The real question: can anyone name one school that is regularly producing starting NFL qbs?
Posted on 7/9/13 at 11:18 pm to bisonduck
duhhh this is an easy one....It's gotta be Ole Miss right?
Posted on 7/9/13 at 11:22 pm to tbonetiger
Tom Brady. 3 rings and neither throw picks.

I guess Stanford has a history of old and new: Jim Plunkett, John Elway and recently Andrew Luck.

well then...it's Stanford followed closely by Ole Miss and then whoever else.

Every team in here would prolly trade their NFL qb for one natty.

I think he'll be a bit better than "decent". And no real offense to the OP, but this was a stupid question. Remember Purdue under Drew Brees? No, of course you don't. I don't either. Hell I don't even know where Joe Flacco went to school. Kaepernick I know, but only because he beat an overrated Boise State team. The Mannings were both reasonably successful in college and of course the pros, but they seem to be the anomaly.
McCarron wins at 'Bama. The end.

There really hasn't been any one college that is filling the NFL with quarterback talent recently. Other positions are more sustainable than quarterback

I agree you should have run the ball. But when your fans say it and get all mad about calling for the pass, you are admitting McCarron is a role player and you don't trust him with the ball in his hands when it matters.
Your argument is invalid.

And modern Ole Miss has something that Alabama doesn't, a starting QB in the NFL.
Glad he won Ole Miss so many rings.
Oh, wait a second.
