i actually read that. it seems accurate and funny as hell. good job. i doubt if any of the instant messaging crowd got past the first coupla sentences though.

Enjoyed it.
The shorthorns tried to big-time the whole game with their LHN and aTm stuffed it in their @$$. That "little sliver" on the east side owns the state now thanks to the SEC connection. Good for them.

While I am still very happy with the addition of A&M , I hate the 'little brother' baggage that they bring along, and that of course, is saddled among the others in the SEC West.
I don't understand why A&M/Miss. State/Auburn just can't be happy with their own programs strides[Ok, I can see why Auburn isn't] and stop chiding on their big brother opponent in their state.
You think if Texas was the ones leaving the Big XII for the SEC that we'd have even 1/3rd the amount of crap about their ex-rival? frick no.
Aggies, y'all came in and did really well. I'm happy you did--it gets all of those folks in your big state watching SEC conference games. However, the thing about the SEC is that excellence in this conference requires sustained success. You still finished THIRD in the SEC, all with the help of the best player in the country.
The best form of retaliation (I assume that's what you're looking for) is quite simply, apathy. When you get to the point that the Longhorns section in the Dallas Morning News/Houston Chronicle is as enticing to read about as Rice Women's basketball, you will have finally lifted yourself out of the realm of being a 'little-brother.'
Stop comparing yourself to your Ex-rival, and focus on revamping that offensive line, or getting Manziel's mind right for the upcoming season. Texas A&M showed up in mighty fashion. Now that you're no surprise, you won't sneak up on anyone.
Even as an Alabama fan, I understand you can't take anything for granted. If you ask most Alabama folks on this board, they will state the most talented team on both sides of the ball was the 2010 team, which lost 3 games. It takes a hell of a lot more than talent to win, and the focus for you guys should be your new rivals, not your old ones.

Completely agree with this. A&M has had one successful year, while Texas is on the down turn. Congratulations. These things happen in cycles. Texas will be on top some years, A&M will be on top in others.
The only logical explanation A&M fans are thumping their chests about it is because they didn't expect so many accomplishments this past year.
Enjoy it though. UT's athletic programs are collectively terrible right now.

Only a few have read it. It has mostly to do with politics and business. The football part is gravy. If you think this is about obsessing you are an idoit. Lots of Texas politics going on in this. It is a story that likely will be a 30 for 30. Lots of shite was going down.

Again, I don't understand how you can post this and say it's b/c you hate their lies when there are several half truths and some out and out false info in there.
I have nothing against dumping on Dodds and the sanctimonious leadership down in Austin but you do kind of come off as a little obsessed and filled with butthurt when everything in the post isn't entirely accurate.
