They probably have shitty seats. In Sanford I have pretty dank seats, so even against some directional school I'd much rather be there. Plus, you only get 6-7 chances a year to be at your alma mater basking in the sunshine watching those red helmets up close. I love that.

Away games are a little different. Now that my streak has been broken, I'll concede that I'd definitely rather watch some of the away games on TV than spend hundreds of dollars on gas, lodging, tickets, and essentially spending the entire weekend to go see a game against Vandy or kentucky for instance.

Have you ever been to a AMA outdoor Motocross event?

Everyone should atleast once. It is pretty amazing.

Damn. You sound like an OM fan here. Which is why they can't fill 50% of their tiny stadium with OM fans on game day.

ETA: It must be a bitch getting a good satellite signal under all those oak trees.

I'd imagine the % for people that would rather watch on TV is far lower among College fans than NFL fans.

Don't get me wrong, the TV experience is improving a lot and I'm sure the % who would rather watch on TV is rising, but among College fans there is more passion and value given to actually being there on campus.

I prefer live all around, but my seats are good, so that's a big reason.

Live for anything

In football, when it's a pass play, you have no idea what routes are being run or who's open until the ball is thrown and the camera is changed.

In baseball, pretty much the same when the ball leaves the bat. Is it in the hole, in the gap, or right at someone?

Just depends on the game. I know we lost, but I will always remember how much fun BD was for the '11 Bama-LSU game. Fantastic experience. Literally could feel the tension. There is no way to replicate that at home.
