I really don't care one way or another about Alabama's schedule - as long as it includes LSU every year. And yes, even if Alabama continues to schedule a bye before their big game with the Tigers.

I have no intentions of taking this Cowherd rant seriously if he doesn't even know that it is Tennessee-Chattanooga, not Chattanooga State. I don't want to hear you spitting bullcrap if you can't even get schools names right.
I think ND plays better opponents top-to-bottom, but non of their opponents are as good as Alabama's toughest opponents.

Coach Saban is concerned about the well-being of student athletes and how they are put into danger with the substitution rules around the HUNH. As smart as Coach Saban is, he obviously knew that some benighted individuals (no offense, but you are so very benighted) would try to present his bravery in an unfavorable light, but he spoke the truth anyway.
If he's concerned about safety maybe he should have his LBs, safeties, or CBs let the opposing QB know before the play starts which player(s) are blitzing. In the name of QB safety.

Good point.
Stand up for player safety, Saban.

That's crazy talk. You're talking crazy.

Well both the HUNH & blitzing player's not declaring themselves blitzers are both within the rulebook; both pose threats to player safety. I'd argue the HUNH is less dangerous than unknown blitzers hitting the QB from his blind side.

Saban gives his sincerest apology for not thinking the same as you do.

How many times does this have to be explained? The rotations were kept to a large degree and it was even said that they tried to stick to it as much as possible. With one glowing exception: LSU was to rotate on Kentucky and Bama was to rotate on Georgia. This was swapped at the last second.
Where are you getting that LSU was to rotate onto LSU's schedule and was changed at the last second? LSU and UK played in 2011. The return game of the series was dropped in '12 just like all the rotating cross-division return games were dropped in '12 due to expansion.
You've repeatedly asked for a reasonable explanation for the bridge schedule and you've been answered several times yet you've failed to acknowledge the answer:
As you said, the schedulers tried to follow the normal cross-division rotation as much as possible. That's why LSU got USC in '12, LSU got UGA in '13, and Bama got UK in '13. It would appear that all this outrage is due to the fact that Bama played Mizzou instead of UGA in '12. It should be obvious that when you add 2 teams to the schedule, they are each going to need cross-division opponents. A&M hosted UF, and UM hosted Bama. As others have stated, both new members got premiere cross-division home games in their 1st season. While I don't think those selections were random, there is a reasonable explanation that does not involve unfounded conspiracies to rig the schedule in favor of a particular team; namely, the league wanted the new members to host premiere cross-division opponents in year 1.
Is this not reasonable?
