Do you not think that is a good rule?
Saban sure does.

Regardless of the fact LSU has had some recent bad breaks in scheduling the perm. cross division opponents need to be done away with. There is no real use for them. The teams that are dead set on keeping rival games can still make it happen. You want to play a certain team fine but the rest of the SEC doesn't have to make concessions for you.

hey draconian, i just thought up another alternate hypothesis. The scheduling office saw how absolutely wretched your out of conference schedule is and figured you needed a SOS boost to try and squeak you into a decent bowl game.

19 pages of rustling
Cowherd looks like a donkey. He sounds like that nerd that everyone picked on in high school. Guy obviously just lives and dies by making other people mad just like all the other tools at ESPN.
As far as taking shots at Alabama's schedule, Alabama had the toughest schedule in the nation the year we ran the table. Bama usually always wins the big game too (at least if its not at home). So, it doesn't mean anything to me. Bama wins all the time. And after JM leaves, there is no foreseeable roadblock unless Les Miles wishes upon some kind of magic field turf that he swallowed and the second coming of Tebow arrives at LSU.
I totally just went way off topic. But,,
DWI.

Is this thread 20 pages of LSU fans bitching and whining?
It is?
K, well bye.

FYI...here's a photo of the SEC's "scheduling guru", and that's not a Bama shirt he's wearing.
edit...if the former grinder AD has an agenda to screw LSU, don't blame us.

I don't think it had ever happened before so nobody realized the need for the rule. If it is a good rule I don't understand how Saban / Alabama's mythical SEC office control would have any effect. All the AD's probably said hey this is a good rule, lets adopt it.
If Saban did bring it up you should probably thank him for making the SEC better by helping institute a quality rule into the rulebook.

The SEC has said that the ADs signed off on the bridge schedule. In order for a conspiracy to exist, one of the following things has to be true:
The networks, the conference, and the AD's only concern was money.
Fairness and equality never factored into the equation. There will be no quid pro quo.
Trust me, I know. Straight from the horse's mouth. It's a business, and I'm forever going to treat it that way from this point forward.
I have no conference allegiance anymore. I don't travel to SEC away games anymore. I've retained my season tickets, etc., but I know where the fans stand in this.

So you can't answer the question. How about some type of reasonable hypothesis that would explain this inconsistency away? I'm open minded enough to consider alternate ideas.
I've only read the 1st 10 pages so this may have already been stated.
Prior to expansion:
LSU was due to add USC in '12 and UGA in '13 and that's what happened
Bama was due to add UGA in '12 and UK in '13. Mizzou bumped UGA but otherwise the normal rotation was followed.
Is this not a reasonable explanation?

Alahunter, LSU's JA, our AD, said he had no say so whatsoever in working out this schedule. As in none. He said it was presented to he & the rest of the AD's as a done deal.

Yeah. Why our recent OOC games have been deplorable.
Oregon. West Virginia twice, North Carolina, Washington twice, Arizona, Arizona State, TCU, Virginia Tech, Oregon State.
Pitiful.......
Then on top of that, we have the nerve to schedule FIVE top 15 teams in 2013. TCU, Georgia, Florida, A&M, and SkoalJuiceChinTeabagNeck.
While SkoalJuiceChinTeabagNeck has a whopping 2.
"""""" T W O """""""" Top 25 teams out of 12 games: LSU and A&M.
That's what I call 'wretched..'

Last year we had LSU & A&M back to back. That worked out great for us... Just play your games and quit complaining.

He didn't put up much of a fight then. He sounds like a pussy. I really cant debate this anymore. The schedule is what it is.
The odds of conspiracy, coercion, etc being the reason behind it is the same odds as it being the easiest way to incorporate the two new teams and take care of all concerns involving all the shite they have to consider when coming up with schedules.
I'll quote a line used often when discussing religion. For believers no evidence is necessary, for nonbelievers no evidence will ever be enough.
God the season can't get here soon enough.

what does that have to do with 2013?

TCU is not a top 15 team, at least going into the season? And you guys have the nerve to schedule those teams? I thought the whole point of this 20 page whine-fest is that you got an unfair schedule foisted on you by the evil bama grad scheduling tzar? But i guess thats not the case if you guys were gutsy enough to schedule it on your own. Kudos
