he has the numbers to back it up and had a ton of records

Exactly...Danny is 5th in SEC history in career passing yards...only behind David Greene, Eric Zeier, Chris Leak and PAYTON MANNING.

In career completions Danny is #14 in SEC history...Manning is only 2nd.

In career completion percentage, Danny is in the top 20 (actually, he is #20)...while Manning is all the way down at #5.

Danny is ahead of Manning in career passing yards per attempt...a full 1.4 yards per attempt (so Danny is #3 while Peyton is #7).

Isn't there any category where Danny is far up the list above Peyton...wait, I found one. Career interceptions. Danny is tied for #11, while Manning is tied at #41 all time.

Kind of left off a rather important statistic don't you think?
Danny - 114 TDs
Manning - 89

He also had the record for passing efficiency nationally for many years (now 5th or 6th), only Tebow posted better numbers in the SEC.

And yes, Manning has 376 more passing yards than Danny in his career, BUT it took him 197 more pass attempts.

UT fans will always be Butthurt that he great Peyton Manning never beat the Gators and that Danny Wuerffel outplayed him and even stole a cover from SI from him.

The case can be made that several QB's were better than Danny but the same case can be made that several were better than Peyton and Wuerffel was also one of those.

I found another couple, SEC championships -4
and National Championships -1

I guess it took Tee Martin to lead the Vols to a NC.
