Ole Miss: Are y'all and Memphis rivals?

I just noticed while checking y'all's schedules on ESPN that y'all have played Memphis home-and-home to open every season dating back to 2002 (and maybe further, ESPN only goes back to '02). Given the geographic proximity it wouldn't surprise me.
This isn't meant as a flame btw. This would be like LSU-Tulane imo. I was just curious how y'all regard your annual opponent to the north.

They had a decent rivalry back in the day when Memphis was worth a shite.
Memphis has a lot of OM alums.
Also, Memphis is a very short drive from Oxford.

They also played in 99 in the worst game I have ever been to. Got in for free and swear I overpaid. I lived in Memphis for 11 years, and was a student at Memphis in 99 and never thought of Ole Mis as a rival

Not in baseball.
Memphis dominates them.

To answer your question/flame no we aren't rivals

They haven't played each other since like 2006 or 2007

We also play at Tulane a lot. It's an easy road win that a lot of alumni can attend.

If you frickers lose to either them or USM you better prepare your anus

We already beat USM. We play Memphis tonight, so we'll see.

Memphis is to Ole Miss as LSU is to Alabama
The smaller less significant program considers the larger more prominent program a rival. while the larger program sees it the same way they would any other regular season game.

Didn't know that but I don't really keep up with y'all's baseball schedule

I disagree. I went to Memphis, and they definitely viewed Ole Miss as a rival, although it is one-sided.

I hope you didn't have pay. That was just some awful football. It looked like niether offense actually wanted to hold on to ball long enough to even punt. I wonder how many total turnovers there were.
