Actually, math major, if he made all three kicks, the score is now 19-17 A&M with 3 minutes to go.
When last I checked, 12+7 = 19
LSU isn't allowed to score 47 yard TDs if he makes all of his kicks? It was 24-12 with 3:12 left when hill scored.
24-19=5 math major. You needed to drive 80 yards to win even in perfect a&m fantasy land.

All of Bertolet's misses came before the Jeremy Hill touchdown. What is unclear about this?
24-19 = 5. 1+3+3 (1 PAT, 2 field goals missed) = 7.
Assuming Hill still scores the TD (and the defense isn't emotionally spent after getting fricked over by their kicker 3 times), it's 24-19 with over 3 minutes left.
3 minutes is a LOT of time compared to what was left at the end of the game.
Let's look at it another way:
If Bertolet doesn't miss the PAT and FG during the Alabama game, not only is Alabama now down 33-17 after the Kennedy touchdown, but A&M isn't going for 2 because they don't trust their kicker.
Now, at this point, it's 34-17 A&M with Alabama needing 3 scores to tie (3 touchdowns to win)
