They already have Elijah Daniel. He's taking over for Dee Ford.

Giving it away and it being sold by a huge jersey dealer from Elizabethtown is not a coincidence. Dude sells PS4s and XB1s by the handful, it's gonna be asked how this well off guy ended up with the jersey.
No snitches in the autograph/memorabilia world though, I know from experience. Guy would have to be really stupid to leave a paper trail...

Just like I don't think a player will get in trouble if he sells the iPod he was given in a bowl suite. It's his. He can do what he wants to with it.
If it's sold without him benefiting off his "celebrity" status, it's fine. He can't charge a penny more than the standard price of the item. It stays anonymous and no one gets hurt.
But if the player sells it on eBay as "**** ****'s Ipod received from Bowl Committee", they are gonna flag it if he has college eligibility.

He's in high school so what does this have to do with the NCAA?

I don't care about anything, I'm a nihilist.

This. There have been a few cases I know where bball prospects lost all or part of college eligibility for getting too many freebies from Nike, Reebok, etc while they were still in high school.

Which is why no one respects the NCAA.
We need to be the first to break off. If we do it others will follow.

Isn't this whole Elam thing similar to what JFF got in trouble for? He gave something away knowing that the person he gave it to was going to profit from it as this person was a jersey dealer as Mag pointed out.

Maybe.
Elam makes me nervous as frick though. He just doesn't seem very smart.

Still affects his future as an amateur athlete within the NCAA.
