Actually everyone is laughing at these newfound A&M bandwagoneers who suddenly think they are on LSU's level defensively.

No one said we were on y'all's level, only that we planned to replace our losses the same way y'all plan to. Try to keep up.

Y'all talk a ton of shite about a school you lost to last year at home.
This is an LSU thread talking shite. You have it backwards.
How is it our fault you're jelly?

So how do the Aggies plan to replace over half of the starters on defense?
Same as LSU plans to.
LSU has recruited to replace those guys. Mike Sherman hasn't.

Then y'all don't have anything to worry about, do y'all?
Posted on 1/16/13 at 2:32 pm to TheCaterpillar
The O-Line isn't our worry. We have depth at O-Line because Sherman brought in plenty of O-Line talent. However, he didn't bring in much defensive talent. Sumlin is bringing in a lot of talented recruits on the defensive side of the football but most of those guys are freshman and it will take a while for them to get settled in.

Joeckel >>> Matthews`
but Matthews is probably still at top 5 LT in the conference

Except you haven't recruited near like we have on defense.
Damontre Moore was an unheralded three-star and is probably going to get drafted higher than any LSU defensive player in history.
Sean Porter was a two-star.
Spencer Nealy wasnt even rated by most services until a month before signing day.
The guys we have starting next year in their place were all MUCH more highly regarded out of high school or JUCO and have a lot of experience.
We'll be fine. We won't have an elite defense by any means, but we'll have no trouble holding most teams downs enough for our offense to build big leads. Much like Oregon, all we need is a defense that keeps teams averaging under 25 a game or so and we'll win (and often blowout) all but the top level of competition because their are only a handful of defenses that can keep out offense down.

These 4 all started (and probably all played 80%+ of plays) but Terrell started every game (and most of last year). Dustin Harris was also a starter down the stretch.
According to participation reports, Terrell started nine games, with Campbell starting one and Hurd starting five (between SS and FS). Down the stretch Matthews and Hurd were on the field as much if not more than Terrell. Terrell played only half the snaps in the CB.
Harris only started five games and talent wise was our fourth best corner. He started some down the stretch because Devante Harris refused to tackle and Otis Jacobs was pouting. Between Everett, Harris x2, Matthews, Hurd and the two nationally ranked corners and nationally ranked safety coming in we'll be better in the secondary. Terrell was an average talent who played above his head and Harris was a talented player who never really "got it". Even this year as a senior, he was constantly out of position.

You think Moore will be a top 2 pick this year? Btw, I know what Mel Kiper thinks but that cat is rarely right.
