What is the point of that anyways? Was it a "get more money in here because Arkansas kids aren't coming and we want to grow" thing? Football? Texarkana? What is the point?

I think its for growth. I know Missouri does the same thing with the Illinois kids as well. At least they did. Not sure if that has changed.

I think it was just to appeal to a larger base of kids. Hearing that you get in-state tuition is huge for a kid who has to pay their way with loans

Not like those neighboring states produce any better or worse kids anyway, the state lines are just lines on a map. I think more schools should take Arkansas's approach

ETA: The ones in the "growing" stage anyway
