SEC Active Coaches Win Percentages
This is the overall record (by percentage) of active SEC coaches with at least 2 seasons in the conference.
Spurrier- .641
Uhhh...Spurrier's OOC pct. is .741, not .641. 66-23. You were close though.

We can see that Saban and Miles are topping out Richt due to two really bad seasons in Richt's 11 year career at UGA, and the fact UGA doesn't play as many cupcakes.
Saban is doing it with an 8-4 and 8-5 at LSU & a 7-6 at Alabama.
Miles is doing it with an 8-5 & 9-4 season as well.
Saban and Miles have struggled at times and are still significantly better despite either your lack of perspective or objectivity.

A realistic look at the last ten years of each teams' out of conference schedule will educate you on what teams chose to play competitive opponents. Who does LSU play

Until you answer that question, STFU about strength of schedule..... funny how LSU fans will be the first to buck up and scoff at the issue,
The last 2 years, LSU's OOC games included wins over a defending BCSNC game participant, Rose Bowl champion, Orange Bowl champion, Pac12 champion, Big East Champion, another Pac12 bowl participant which beat the team that beat #1. Then the 8 years before included wins over North Carolina, another win against Big East Champ, wins against Washington again, VT, Arizona, Arizona St, Oregon St, and Arizona again. The past 12 years, LSU participated in 3 NC games, winning 2 of them and undefeated vs the OOC opponents of Big 12 champ Okla, and Big 10 champ Ohio St. and went 2-0 in Sugar Bowls vs Big 10 Champ Ill and Ind champ ND plus the other numerous bowl games during that stretch. Im sure UGA's OOC opponents doesn't measure up to that.

Your stats are wrong. SEC coaches that have coached 100 games, LES MILES has the highest winning % , EVER.
Frank Thomas says, "Not so fast, my friend."
Thomas: 98-21-7, .806
Miles: 85-21, .802
You're not from around here, are you? Rutherford County public schools aren't that shitty.
Seriously, do you always just talk out of your arse without having a clue?

Well, before the season Miles didn't have 100 games in the conference, now did he? You just went from dumb to dumber.

Where's AZ St and Colorado on your list?
By your own defenition a OOC cupcake is a non ranked team.
Where's all those nonranked yellow jackts?
In '07 OK St was a .500 ball club.

That happened to bama ONE TIME and that was in '10. Tide cried long and hard on it.

Also, the point is that Spurrier hasn't done much with Carolina.
If Franklin has another 9 win season, he'll tie Spurrier's % at Carolina. That's sad.
Dumb argument because Spurrier has been at USCe for years. When at a program like that, over time you will have down/bad years. Franklin has had 2 years at Vandy. If he stays there for the long run he will have down years to hurt his percentage.
Compare Spurriers percentage for the last 2 years to Vandys. Spurriers is much better. He has built up their program.
In Spurriers first two years at USCe, he went 7-5 and 8-5. 15-10
Franklin has gone 6-6 and 9-4. 15-10. Looks similar to me

Yeah bro but you're just not looking at like deeprig, man. IF Vandy wins 9 games next season plus their bowl game, then Franklin is a better coach than Spurrier because deeprig is using his own logic, and skewing some weird stats to make his point that Vandy>USCjr and Franklin>Spurrier. Or, something like that. It just takes a different perspective.

fricking OP makes me really lol with his Spurrier obsession.
I never get tired of reading how mind-fricked he is by Spurrier and how little-dicked he feels about himself now that the Gamecocks are consistently kicking that dawrgy arse.
He'll never make it another five years at this pace. I fully expect to read about him in the paper or to see someone post on this board "dawgrig9 offed himself last night men ... couldn't handle being bent over and mind-fricked by Spurrier and the Gamecocks another day."
I'm already fairly certain that dawgrig9 is not married and has not been allowed to propagate so I fear not him leaving any little ones fatherless ... I mean who would breed with him in his current state of mind?

Hey there "Bama Grad".... I said overall record, not out of conference record. It's right there in your post where you quoted me. Way to represent.
And before you get stupid.. I clarified a few posts later "at current school" so Saban doesn't count his LSU wins and Spur doesn't count his FL wins.

No, unranked was one adjective of several that I used to describe a cupcake.
Ultimately, a cupcake is a little team at a little school that your big school pays $750,000 to bus in to town and get their asses kicked. Examples are Georgia Southern, Furman, Troy.
I think that's the 4th time I've explained it in this thread.

The laws of physics won't let us play ourselves, so yeah, we usually have a weaker schedule than the other teams in the East.

Here's an example of 3 cupcakes.

It's the first three games LSU plays in 2013.
TCU
UAB
Kent St
The only wrinkle here is that LSU is actually traveling to Texas Christian University, non-typical for a cupcake game, and an exception to the general definition.
It's OK, because LSU comes back to play Furman in Baton Rouge in October.
Does anyone know what the Furman mascot is?
Anyone?
The Paladins.
The Furman Paladins are coming to Baton Rouge in October 2013, and they ARE BRINGING HELL WITH THEM!!!!

They're playing in J World. Also I wouldn't really call TCU a "cupcake." They've made some BCS appearances and wins. Also this season was a fluster cluck for them in the fact that the offseason ate them alive and their QB decided to get clean halfway through the season.

That was tub's team for a while, right? Made them a little competitive for a brief amount of time. They are still a cupcake.
