anybody ever thought how a player can control a game if a coach decides to go for it on fourth and short and if a player doesn't think they can get it or doesn't want to attempt it just get a penalty

I'm telling you guys right now. Oklahoma is going to put up points on A&M. The weakest part of A&M's team is their secondary. The reason their defense hasn't looked that bad is because they didn't play a single good passing QB in the SEC except for maybe McCarron. They avoided Murray and Bray. Even South Carolina with Connor Shaw might have given them problems because nobody is better than Spurrier at exploiting the weaknesses of a team's secondary. Landry Jones has his fair share of weaknesses but he's unquestionably the best passing QB A&M's seen in a while. I see this being a 45-38 type game.
