Correct MA runs 40 minutes of offensive confusion and street ball

It is the simplest offense in the world to run, on the college level you should be able to teach it in one practice, it took Pel season's and they still couldn't do it right.

The thing I love about motion is that it incorporates like a machine. All the parts have to keep moving for it to work, unfortunately in today's world that is the hardest thing to do with players now. The motion also is nearly impossible to defend because it changes based on the defense
Pel gave up on the motion early on, because you are right, if you do not move it doesn't work, but if you have players that are not lazy it is damn near impossible to stop because of the options, every screen has 3-5 options based on what the defender does off the screen.
Knight could get his players to play in this system and Nolan and Mike have had success getting their guys too as well, but with the press you have times when they get tired and stand around too much, but that is also why you see them go 7-8 deep on the bench during the game.

It's the "let's dribble it around the key for 30 seconds of the shot clock looking completely lost and then either turn it over or put up an airball as the clock expires" offense.
We used to call it the MELVIN WATKINS offense.

How did ya'll do so good last year? I've never thought Haith was a good coach.

I prefer the Princeton but realize teams and kids today will not like playing it.
A look into bama's high octane all-out assault

Is this Kentucky squad smaller than last year's or the year's before?
Depends on the lineup Cal uses. He can go pretty big with Noel and WCS in at the same time (it's happened a few times). Poythress is a pretty stout kid (reminds me a little of Kelenna Azubuike). Wiltjer is pretty long. Ryan Harrow is smaller then Teague though.
Last season's team played bigger if that makes sense.

We run the motion, but I am dead serious when I say Cuonzo DNGAF about offense. They can basically do whatever they want on that end, but he prefers they get it to Jarnell.

Yes.
Hunter Mickelson is 6'10" but makes himself 5'6" when on the blocks at times, its frustrating as hell, but on the defensive side of the ball he plays like he's 7'7".

This may be one of the biggest disadvantages of playing the motion. Everyone has got to be able to play.

We can thank the NBA for this crap.

It's this right here that makes it so hard to defend. If a coach could ever get a player to understand the better you screen the more points you score maybe things wouldn't be so hard. Players nowadays just want to score and score right away. They don't want to have to screen to score. I mean I was watching the Mizzou and Illni game and noticed that Illinois runs a type of motion (or so I thought) but the players just half assed screened. It's just laziness.

He may or may not be a good coach. This season will show us more to that question. However, you've got to cut him some slack on his past, because Miami is a wasteland for college BBall.

Never really watched the Princeton. Could you possibly give a brief synopsis.

I figured ya'll ran a motion since Cuonzo and Ricky Ray come from the same tree.

You are certainly right about Miami. Thing is that place could be amazing if they gave the support.

One of our larger issues this season has been them getting out-rebounded. Just off the top of my head UK has Harrow (6'2"), Mays (6'2"), Goodwin (6'5"), Poythress (6'7"), Wiltjer (6'10"), Noel (6'10"), and WCS (7'0") regularly on the floor. They shouldn't be out rebounded on most nights but they are because they're simply not blocking out.
