WHY would he go to the NFL? He makes Million$ at Bama, is adored by their fans and can cement himself as the best College Coach of his era in Tuscaloosa. He has total control where he's at, which wouldn't be the case in the NFL. HE can determine the talent level of his team in College by outworking the other guy, & that's not the case in the NFL. Go to the NFL & babysit overpaid idiots? I don't see it happening.

Why would he leave? He wants the chance to say he was one of the best, if not the best, college coaches ever. To also say he could be one if the best in the nfl too? Well, not many can say that. Don't think the fact that the success of Carroll, Harbough and Schiano aren't on his mind. Chip Kelly is about to head there too. I know Bama is so amazing too blah blah blah.... But it ain't the NFL, in fact it isn't even close. Good luck hanging on to him

Bama IS amazing. It's in the Bible......somewhere.

He's too old for another move, some people need to get over it already.

Saban Appeared on The Dan Le Batard Show Today
He won't leave. He has too much fun beating up on LSU.
And how many times has he 'beat up on LSU' ???????????????????????
Once.
2007 LSU
2008 Bama in OT 27-21
2009 Bama on homecooking Bama Alumni Replay Official call 24-15. LSU was in the game at end.
2010 LSU 24-21
2011 LSU 9-6
2012 Bama 21-0
2012 Bama pulled it out of their rectum 21-17.
So Saban and Miles have square off SEVEN times.
Saban has 'beat up on LSU' ONCE.
Are you REALLY that stupid ????????????????

Maybe. He's the same age as Pete Carroll though.

But Bama isn't fixing to get hit with NCAA sanctions either, at least not to my knowledge.

Yes the same as he owed the players at Michigan ST which I know you understand but perhaps he has grown as an individual now, but any Bama fan that would get mad after all that he has done for this university would be silly.

Good move by Saban. Get some of that Miami hate diffused before the team heads down there.

We should all take what Nicky said with a grain of salt: he is right in the middle of preparing for the NCG and recruiting. Do you honestly believe that he would say anything else at this particular point in time? Nicky is as good with his words as he is coaching. Nothing he said ruled out anything; nothing he said could then be called lying later on. But as for his comments bout Drew Brees, this is completely different than what Brees had to say in his book, and who has more credibility? Brees was far from complimentary when it came to anything to do with his visit/recruitment by Nicky, & he made it clear he never had an offer.

quote:Well if Brees is being truthful, then that's just ANOTHER strike against Saban, he lied again!!! Why would any NFL franchise ever want a liar like Saban? Add in the fact that he was a shitty NFL coach, and that pretty much cements him staying at Bama til he hangs up his straw hat for good.

This may cause a complete meltdown of the Tiger Rant.
He snuffed out many falsehoods that seem to occupy ranters imagination.
-Saban is leaving
-Culpepper over Brees
I think he even got on LeBatard's good side.
