They DO lose some key pieces from this year's team, though.
Which was really our downfall. Along with Nutt not putting Mccluster at RB until the latter part of the season

TAMU doesn't have Houston Nutt as their head coach, so no.
Those 2008 and 2009 teams were very talented football teams. They had no business losing to Wake Forest, Vandy, Auburn, or South Carolina (twice).
Beating Florida in the Swamp and LSU in Death Valley is nice, and at the time definitely makes up for the losses, but looking back on it makes me conclude that we, in fact, underachieved during those years.
Sumlin doesn't underachieve. So, no, they won't be like us in 2009.

Bruh, Jevon Snead was GONNA win the Heisman in 2009.
Literally nobody said or thought this, aside from a handful of dumb Ole Miss fans.

We never replaced Wallace as the deep threat and we never replaced Oher at left tackle. They tried using McCluster in Wallace spot to begin 09.

Sure.... but I think it's more likely that ND falls farther than A&M next season.
How many seniors does ND lose after this year?

Of course. They could lose to Ole Miss, LSU, Bama, and one another game in there.
As could LSU.

A&M's win over Alabama was no accident
The '08 Ole Miss team would have destroyed the '12 A&M team.

Could 2013 Ole Miss be 2009 Ole Miss?
We went to the Cotton bowl and finished in the top 25. Being 2009 Ole Miss would be a 2-3 win improvement on this year.
2009 was a disappointment only because we were expected to compete with Bama for the division. We didn't, but we still beat Vandy, Arkansas, Tennessee, LSU, and Okie State in the Cotton Bowl.

I was there, probably the best atmosphere i've seen at a game - absolutely wild

We lost 4 games by a total of 19 points in 08. Beat LSU by 18

We beat the National Champions in the swamp. Stomped LSU 31-13 in Baton Rouge beat Mississippi State 45-0, and beat 11-1 Texas Tech in the cotton bowl 47-28 after spotting them 14 points.
