True, and I get that. That's why I'm enjoying the good with the bad so much, basically since 2000. But Saban has gone up another level and CLM is right there (basically one drive from ATL this year). I want to see how this pans out in 5-7 years when both men retire. I guess the difference is I view the coming bowl game as a chance to finish strong and prove LSU can play well away from home, and go into 2013 with optimism. There's a large segment that have 'This sux' view. I guess it's just the way one chosess to see things.

Just think. If LSU would have gained 1 more yard for 1 more first down against Bama this year and any one of at least 3 Big 12/Pac 12 teams had not blown it last season then LSU would likely be going for back to back national championships against Notre Dame. That's gotta sting.

That's the way it should be viewed.

This is also how it should be viewed.

Let me give you a Bama fan perspective of how I perceive my own team. Even through the down years, I expected Bama to exceed what everyone else thought they could do. Winning 10 games with Dubose, Shula, Fran.. we expected those. No matter who the coach is or was. Because Bama is a program that has always been at the forefront of the SEC and college ball. Expectations gets you disappointment. But it also raises the bar and players believe when their fans believe too.

Now, Lsu is pretty much on the cusp of that level of thinking too. 12 yrs of being amongst the top programs is starting to change the mindset of your fans. Younger fans are sort of adopting that type of thinking. Where they're dropping the ball, is comparing to Bama. Once they can accept that what other programs do isn't relevant to their team. Then they'll have taken that last step.

And for the ones that haven't, and won't take it... Saban 4 of 6 against Miles.

impossible..he will retire in gawd's country aka BAMA

Tried telling all the tard bama fans, he will leave, he has no loyalty, Bama or anywhere else, when he grows bored like he is doing he is moving on. If Bama beats ND in the NC game then he will be gone within 2 years.

He will not retire there, He will not be your AD, he will be moving on and that's that, Aight?

Saban just wants his name in the news too. This is his ploy for another raise. Too much talk about other coaches and not uber-ego Saban.
