That many people on the same page lends me to believe what I was told happened did happen. I was told Craig told Gus he would take the job then backed out. Y'all can take that for what it's worth. Just passing on the info I was told. Also I never said Craig to Auburn was a sure thing for anyone implying I said that
Just curious when you a-holes are going to believe me when I say nobody knows anything about coaches being hired at Auburn
No offense to everyone that has claimed sources or inside knowledge but there's just none to be had.

What you and your sources were telling you probably was right when they told you. That's the problem with these things, there are verbal agreements on principle, understandings and details that are all subject to change that can make the deal go sour.
Whether or not the sticking points get worked out or not are dependent on the coaches themselves and I doubt anyone has an accurate direct line to Gus/Coordinators and the potential hires.
News of who people are meeting with and general sentiments may come out but nobody knows anyone in the final stages of the meetings that can tell us for certain if it is happening

You missed on Craig, you missed on Petrino, your friend's internship has run out, and you always equivocate when you're wrong, which is a lot. Stick to AUFamily, man. They think you're an information god. You could make a tidy sum off those people if you were to charge them, or at least the AE simpletons.

I said I was leaning to the no shot side because his inyerview kept getting pushed back. My instincts always told me Gus and I was right! I am sick of people acting like I am the way Buccwild was from a couple years ago. I have never made claims of things definitively happening the way he did. All I have ever said was how things looked at a particular moment. That's only a snapshot. If people can not accept that things are fluid then they do not need to be on message boards. Damn! People really need to go back to school and take some reading interpretation/reading comprehension skills classes.

What is going on in this thread?

Thus the use of the word EQUIVOCATE
1
: to use equivocal language especially with intent to deceive
2
: to avoid committing oneself in what one says

Just your typical fluid stuff going on.

People are bitching because they can't understand that just because one day it looks like a coach is coming to AU, it is completely understandable that a few days later, stuff changes.

Only a couple of people are involved with hiring. People only say there are such things as verbal agreements in hiring when they are wrong. In reality, someone knew Craig was going to stop by and talk to Gus and Jay and that got turned into a media frenzy because of all of the "insiders" that are paid or compelled otherwise to provide information on the meeting.
It's not a fluid process. There are no verbal agreements. Barbee's agreement to coach Auburn was a verbal agreement and he was actually coaching. Anyway, I can't stop people from fabricating stories. Do what you guys want

Folks relax on the coaches.... If he just wanted to fill his staff, he could have brought over more guys directly from Arkie State...
If we get Rocker (hopefully), the defense will have 3 highly regarded coaches.
Offense is different and folks are concerned since DC decided not to come.
Look at our coaches when Malzahn was the O-coordinator. Many folks do not believe they were strong coaches, but primarily recruiters (Trooper and Luper), plus Grimes (over-rated in my opinion).
As promised the coordinators were hired quickly, but Malzahn said it would take a while to complete the staff. Relax and enjoy the dead period.
