Maybe, unless is substantiated. You guys are losing possibly 9+ starters on defense and possibly 2+ on offense (depending on early outs). We are losing 2 on offense and 6 on defense. You will be missing more starters on defense alone than the Cocks in total

And all that makes sense. But CNB's post didn't mention any of that actual, logical, football stuff. It was just "well we won by a lot this year so we can't lose next year". And again, every single day is different. Last year's game was really, really close (and I'm not bringing up old arguments, but SC did score on several UGA miscues). It would be perfectly logical to think the 2012 game would be equally as close with what we returned, yet it was a 4 touchdown game. Things change constantly, what happened in October of 2012 will have no bearing whatsoever on what happens in September of 2013.

We've also won 2 of the last 3 games played in Athens, so it's not like we're attempting anything groundbreaking

Why stop at the last 3? You're 3-3 since Richt has been here, and 2-2 since spurrier has been there. I'm not saying SC can't win in Athens because that's obviously not true, but history would show that it's been fairly even.

I'd also like to point out we were 2-1 in columbia since spurrier and 4-1 since Richt going into october. That didn't mean anything as it related to the 2 teams playing on that one day.
