quote:
government control grew and individual rights were taken more under Busch than ever before.
Dem Congress, they make and vote the new laws in.

And socialism? So many Americans have a skewed view of socialism, it's one word that has many different meanings.. but Americans only know one definition. They immediately imagine soviet type control.
Soviet control was Communism, not Socialism.
quote:
some types of socialism give more freedom to the people. For example, Germany has been adopting a social capitalist model. They mandate that corporations must allow workers to elect half the board of directors. Imagine if Wal-Mart employees had that power
You'd have another Detroit in due time. Don't like your wages or job? Work smarter and take responsibility to achieve more, don't expect someone to give it to you.
quote:
. Other things they are mandating are non profit insurance companies. The new model for their health care insurance is privately owned, but must be non profit.
Gov't shouldn't be in the health care business. People are going to get sick, get old and die. It's 100% inevitable. Feds have taken too much power from the states, fed judges have used their benches to interpret laws into being with judicial activism.
quote:
Best of both worlds
No such thing when Gov't has so much control of individuals.

If you truly think republicans have not played a role in expanding government you're a total fool.
Government is like a machine that serves itself, there are two teams that 'oppose' each other, play it off like they're opposites, but the reality is both republicans and democrats keep the machine growing.
And the best of both worlds comment had to do with privately owned insurance companies while being non profit. Had nothing to do with government.
