Maybe they would not go for any amount. I doubt it. The new network wants veiwers. What would be the easiest was to attract new subcriptions and providers- Big names and winning. What its worth to them I dunno

tbh I wouldn't be sad to see Muschamp leave UF. He has done a great job with them this year imo

I don't know exactly how much, but Texas can probably offer more than any other school in the nation. Saban could create a monster at UT. Biggest school in the nation, best recruiting base, own network, athletic department with very deep pockets. If he actually does end up at Texas someday, he could create a dynasty unlike anything we have ever seen before. I think the idea of being the first to win a national title at three schools (and I would almost guarantee that he'd get at least one there) would have to entice him to at least consider it...

Texas has more money than anyone in the country and that includes Notre Dame....

I just cant imagine why those coaches would want to go to the big12. It's inferior in every way to the SEC.
I will admit that Texas is a great job, but so is LSU, Bama, and Florida. Is the money really worth it to go to a lesser conference? You wanna trade SEC games to play teams like Baylor, Texas Tech, ISU, KU, KSU, etc?
It may be easier there but those type of games are the reason I am so glad to be in the SEC.
I bet Muschamp is much happier he got the Florida job than staying in Austin. Great place but such a shitty conference.

The highest paid nfl coaches are paid 7-8 million in guaranteed contracts. Texas makes around the same profits as higher nfl franchises sans cowboys. Although its hard to compare profits because revenue is used and obtained from different methods than the nfl.

Texas isn't the biggest school in the nation, UCF is.

That's the same shitty excuse the obsessed Aggies use. Even when they are NOT talking about Texas, they want to talk about them. It's about replacing a coach at an irrelevant program. Not just any program. Quit being enablers.

When you are at either the end or beginning of your career it is.

Even with all of those wins and a few national titles, Texas is the most underachieving program in college football. I personally think that it is the best job in college football for the reasons I said above. With all that talent to recruit from, there is no reason Texas shouldn't be a top 10 team that's in the national title hunt every season. Stoops would piss himself if Saban ever got that job.

Ever been to Austin? There isn't enough $$ in the world to get them to move to that shithole

No matter the price, I just couldn't see Saban walking away from the strongest program in the nation to UT. If he were to end up in Austin it would have to be similar to the way Meyer ended up at OSU. Sure, Texas could theoretically offer more than Alabama can but could Saban justify the move as being for anything other than greed?
Not sure if UT would go after Miles. Something about his coaching style and personality just doesn't strike me as being the right fit for their boosters. However, if they were to make a run at him, I'm not sure LSU would fight to keep him the way Bama would for Saban. Miles strikes me as loyal and as having a genuine love for LSU, but I think that the faction of fans always trying to run him off combined with silly dollars could steer him away.

What about the coaches' wives input. Do you think they have any say so?
