You guys are putting a ton of effort in to this argument. Yall must really want Fisher to stay put.

I would be too. Fisher is a hell of a coach and I hope AU gets him.

I thought Nick Saban disciples sucked.

I think there is a glaring hole in the FSU is a better track to a NC argument though.

If LSU and FSU win out this year being both SEC and ACC Champs, which one would be left out of the title game?(assuming they are not playing each other.)

Ill answer for you, we all know it would be FSU bec they play in a weaker conference.

When was the last time the ACC made it to the BCSCG? and when was the last time Auburn or an SEC team did?

I really am not trying to flame. It is going to look like it, I know. But without Cam Newton, that 2010 season would have been like the rest of Chiz's seasons. Not taking anything away from that year. It was a huge win with a player that will go down as one of the best.

Besides that though, it has really just been LSU, Bama, and Florida fighting for the top spot (at least in the 21st century). He left to Auburn, he would have to play 2 of them every year, while trying to rebuild the program.

He might not see the NC this year, but it still isn't out of the picture.

And IMO, Fisher would be another let down. The other 2 candidates mentioned in the OP would be much better choices.

Auburn fans know better than anyone that the only conferences that bump out an equally accomplished SEC team are those from the Big 12 and the former PAC 10.

I quoted you so you did say it...but whatever.

I think Fish would be dumb to leave the best recruiting state in the country to go battle Saban for recruits and put up with the psycho fans that the IB rivalry produces.

Im pretty sure FSU goes for the same recruits that Bama and LSU and UGA and Au go after.

So you're just looking for another "yes man" for Lowder and Dye to boss around?

I don't get this Fisher is not good talk

Fisher is 25-9 as head coach

Les Miles at OSU was 28-21

Nick Saban was 34-24-1 at MSU

Auburn will make a good hire regardless. I just don't think it will be Fisher and don't think yall would get the results you would want out of him anyways.

You quoted me saying that he isn't great yet. Then you implied that I hold the belief that Auburn couldn't get Fish if they wanted him, which I never said. Try to keep up, parkjas. You don't normally play dumb like that.

Since Dye still runs the progema, that is what we are getting anyways. Might as well get a good one.

Let me explain it for you.

I don't get why people think Fisher isn't great yet.

Fisher is 25-9 at a juggernaut that dominated the conference and the national landscape for about 20 years.

Les Miles was considerably worse at a school that hasn't been relevant outside of the Thurman Thomas Barry Sanders days.

Nick Saban also was not very good at Magic Johnson's alma mater.

That make it a little more clear?

Since he's lived in California since basically 1994 (outside of 3 years), I would say that played a much bigger part in his decision to move back than trying to run away from the SEC like you claim.
