I stand by my comments made about the Buffalo River. In the Spring during the rainy season, the Buffalo is one of the very best, beautiful floats in the entire country.
However (that's right - how the frick ever!), that river dries up to nothing more than a trickle by mid-Summer...earlier if the rains don't come in the Spring.
Therefore, in my opinion, it becomes a shitty float because I don't consider dragging a canoe half the time to be fun. I mean, if you want to walk the riverbed and look at the majestic bluffs, go at it!
In the meantime, I'll be floating the majestic Current River in Missouri anytime I wish because it's springfed and up all year long.
Buffalo during the rainy season = Awesome
Buffalo during the hot Summer = shite River
(I did acknowledge that the Kings and Spring Rivers are pretty badass)
