If the argument really is "is Texas the most American state," then your own statement about it being a "culturally diverse hodgepodge" proves that Texas is a veritable melting pot--long an attribute this country has hung its hat on.

As far as being the best state, you do realize that there is NOTHING, and I do mean NOTHING that you can say, no link that you can provide, that will convince any Texan that our state isn't the best in the union. I know that rubs the rest of the country the wrong way, and I don't fricking care. Deal with it.
