The better team won in your two examples.
When I think fluke, I think of an overmatched team playing at their absolute ceiling, and winning because the other team can't make a few routine field goals.
fluke.of.the.season.

But my serious pick is probably Auburn over us.
Meh, yall just played like crap.
We had 3 picks in the redzone and could run the ball at will.
We played better than yall.

Does not compute. Trying FG well outside of the 40?? That was poor coaching, Being held out of the redzone was not fluke. It took 8 qtrs of football for bama to get in the redzone. :inb4crossingth50:
Was 2 great football teams playng at their absolute best, and one coach completely screwing up play calling on special teams.

Oh god the 8 quarters argument is LSU's moral victory of the decade..

literally, any non LSU fan would agree that Bama looked the better team that day. It's the primary reason why they were alotted a rematch.

The first time LSU - Bama met up.
Bama looked the stronger team through four quarters, blew it on special teams.
What a joke. LSU outrushed Alabama in that game, total yardage was within about 50 yards of each other, and the so called special teams miscues were nothing but Bama trying FGs that were out of their kicker's range because they couldn't move the ball into FG range. You would seriously put this on the level with South Carolina getting four non-offensive TDs? Or Arkie getting a gift TD fumble return when Vandy was about to put the game away? Or Auburn scoring 14 points in the final minute against Utah St.?
Gumps gonna gump.
Not to mention the fact that most of Alabama's "yardage" resulted from starting inside their 10 yard line umpteen times from Wing pinning them deep, and they got to midfield or beyond a few times.
They only got inside the LSU 20 yard line ONE time however, and were promptly pushed out of the red zone on the very next play.
Also we made Alabama look like a pee wee team in OT. They went backwards about 12 yards, we scored a TD - yeah, Ford's left little toe was on the edge of the chalk - big fricking deal (just like Patrick Peterson "didn't" intercept Alabama in '09)
And we had a chance to score at least 2 other TD's - Shepard fell untouched after catching a pass inside the Bama 10, and Claiborne was on his way to the end zone on his INT but didn't cut back inside....

Auburn scoring two fluke TDs to go up 14-0 on State in the first five minutes.

I think its pretty damn obvious what side LSU and Bama fans are on.Seems to me people with no dog in the fight see it mostly the same way as well.
Carry on though Tigers if it gives you something to hold on to.

Seriously your team won the natty and you still can't admit that your team got out coached out played at your home field. Your team got the Mulligan of the mother f*cking century, and you still cry about being the better team on 11/5. BAMA GOT BEAT BY LSU AT HOME BY THE BETTER TEAM and no matter how many mulligans you get can never erase that.
Bama beat the crap out of LSU in the Natty.
And just so you can get it through your thick hounds-tooth skull, Bama had an embarrassing defeat at home by LSU which their ego's could not handle. It was almost like the Saints playing their first home game in the dome after Katrina.
