In honor of the Rebel Bears heading their way to 0-22 in the SEC

this year, I began doing some research of SEC losing streaks since 1950. I started with State because I knew were so bad in the 1960's.
We lost lost 21 straight from 1958-1963 (1 tie)
From 1965-1970- we lost 25 SEC games in a row
However:
We only played 2 or 3 home games per season and then 1 in Jackson
Our "home game" vs Auburn would be in Birmingham
Our "home game" vs Tennessee would be in Memphis
We played LSU in Baton Rouge all but 3 times in a 25 year stretch from the 40's to 70's
All that shows you is why State fans are so excited about the direction of the football program these days. We have had shitty, shitty leadership selling away home games thru the years because of being so small-minded. We've had people unable to see the value of building the program.
Our AD we just fired a few years ago sold a home game of ours vs Fla to Orlando back in the early 1990's. He fought for years us creating what is now called "The Junction"- which has significantly enhanced the gameday experience at State games.
Jackie Sherrill being hired changed our program forever. We have been an SEC doormat thru the years because of our worthless leadership. Thank God I lived to see an end come to that finally- because alot of State fans didnt.
