This seemed to be a recurring theme in this thread.
AU has beaten us once since '05 and Cam Newton ain't walking through that door.
Last year was an embarrassment in every phase of the game.
We return almost every player from our D that they managed to score against a total of once.
It didn't matter who we plugged in at RB, Carlton Thomas rushed for over 100 yds (more than a 1/3 of his season total, which also happened to be a career high).
Until Frazier proves something on the field, they're still very shaky at QB. And it's his 2nd system in 2 years. He threw 12 passes last year.
With that said, the team is now more experienced, they upgraded the defensive staff, and they have solid, experienced talent at DL/WR/TE.
It really depends on how well the RBs step up in Dyer's absence, how much Frazier actually shows, and whether their D improves drastically or not under a new and improved defensive staff.
Either way, there will be no thrashing, and I would be surprised if they won. I guess they're due though

I just don't see how we can have a worse record with more experience, better players, and an arguably more favorable schedule.

Because you have two new coordinators and you lost your best player in Dyer.
AU will be better on defense, but I just dont see where on offense they are going to get their points

Ehh RB is pretty easy to replace, we won't win or lose a game this year because we didn't have Dyer. Blake is more important to the offense because we haven't had a WR step up behind him.

We've got plenty of talented RBs. I don't think we'll have a problem replacing Dyer this year.
As usual, QB is the big question but I'm fairly confident in Frazier. This isn't the first time Auburn has come into a season with a new QB.

All I will say is that I expect Auburn to be much better this year. Our talent level continues to increase, as well as depth. We had a major upgrade in coaching talent on the defensive side of the ball, and many of our toughest conference games are at home.
We're gonna beat some people who don't think they will get beat. I'll leave it at that.
