I just have to clear this up. Its ok to hire a coach around bowl time and right after but no other time?

What about the players of that coach you hire?

i think the bigger issue is the circumstances surrounding the hire.

Weber just hired their coach. I'm sure they were thinking they were done until next year if JLS was indeed retiring.

Different question: Why would JLS go to Weber for one year and why would Weber think that's a great idea.

It is ok to hire a coach whenever you need one. However, the timing of it has various effects of the school the coach is leaving. The later in the process of preparing for the next season, the worse it is for everybody. Kids at Weber got dicked over. Let's not pretend they didn't.
