It's a shame that South Carolina didn't land Montgomery...would have been awesome to see a Gamecock DL with Clowney and Montgomery as our book-end DEs...
Next season, we'll still have Devin Taylor, who's an All-SEC-caliber DE opposite Clowney. We will also see more contributions from senior DE Chaz Sutton, who has the talent to be a starter for many other SEC teams, but got buried a little by a depth chart that had Cliff Matthews, Taylor, Ingram and now Clowney. There may be situations where we move Clowney inward like we did with Ingram last season, and play him with both Taylor and Sutton.
I'm also very excited about DT Kelcy Quarles..if it weren't for Clowney last season, we'd have spent a lot of time raving about this kid. IMO, he's a future 1st-team All-SEC DL in the making. It just may start next season...
