Pinkel: 9.5

In just over a decade he has taken the program from two winning seasons in 18 years to eight winning seasons in the last nine; including three 10-win seasons in the past five and three Big 12 North championships in that time.

To put it simply: If the SEC had expanded before Pinkel arrived at Mizzou, there would've been no chance in hell and the Big East would seem farfetched for us when the Big 12 collapsed.

I agree with everything you said except the ranking. I would give him an 8. The impact he's had on the program is fantastic, especially when you consider where they were when he took over. I couldn't be happier with the progress. That said, I don't think you can give a coach a 9 or 10 without conference championships, BCS bowls, or national championship. We don't have those. Yet. And since the competition just got tougher, I think it'll be a few more years before we're there. But I believe in Pinkel and think we'll get there eventually.
