Sweet offensive talent. Sounds good enough to get 3rd in your division every year. Where's the D? Why is Petrino good for 2nd in conference when he can't even finish 2nd in the SECW?
Do you realize how stupid you sound?

you sound like Big Kat, making excuses.
also, BP won 8 games in year 2. will the Vols do that this year?
Did Petrino lose Mallet and his best reciever? I guarantee the record would have been different. With Bray and Hunter, we would have won 8 games.

I'm just curious why, if you are so apathetic about the Arkansas program and it's perceived irrelevance, you always talk about us and take shots. In this case BP's ability to recruit 'talent'. On the field results prove he can.

holy shite your excuses are making my head spin.
I can't wait for Dooley to take the Vols to a BCS game in year 3 and finish in the top 5 in year 4.

Just answer my question. How good would USC be without Barkley or Woods. How good would Baylor be with RG3 and Kendall Wright. How good would Arky been without Tyler Wilson and Jarius Wright.
I could go on all day. UT is still a long way away depth wise from being where we used to be, but we would have followed your coaches mold and dominate one aspect of the game.

2618 seems like a football savvy person. He does not mention that UTe has recruiting competetion from Vandy,Memphis,USCe,UA,AU,UGA and Ole Miss. Until Dooley can get the talent it will be hard for him to get Kiff and Full's mess straightened out.

Good teams have depth.
Tennessee doesn't. It's part of football. shite happens, but the best still find a way to win.
UT football blows. Dooley blows. Which blows more? No idea.

For starters BP had Casey fricking Dick as his QB in his first year, not Mallett.
and again, BP must be doing something right, his win totals have gone up every year and we finished #5 this year. but I'm supposed to be ashamed of that.

USCe, UF, and UK would have been different and maybe UGA. I think UGA would have outscored us though since Malcolm Mitchell was burning Teague every play. This is all hypothetical of course, but people underestimate what Hunter was to UT. He made everyone around him better, something Da'rick doesn't do. Hunter is the shaq of our team.

You all went 5-7 Petrino's first year...

The UK would not have been different. Bray sucked arse that game.
(yea yea yea...he had a broken hand)

Florida- Bray played
Georgia- Bray played
UK- Bray played
USCe- won 11 games, were better than you healthy.
Also did those teams not have any injuries last season??? I mean, if you hypothetically get Bray and Hunter back does USC-e get Lattimore?

UT has consistently recruited very well considering the circumstances. History shows us that you need at least a top 15 class to win the SEC. Usually its a top 10 though. We have some very good young players in key positions, but we are still at least 2-3 years away from being near LSU and Bama.

Bray was supposed to be the best QB in the SEC, turns out, it's only true when he has Hunter. Funny how that works.

let's just make this fricking simple. will Dooley, in your opinion, have O/U the following win totals the next 3 years.
8
10
11
a simple yes or no will do.

Its impossible to do that in the SEC. If thats the case, Saban, Petrino, and Spurrier would have won a lot of games their first year.

I see you ignored my simple question.

UF- Our whole gameplan went out the window since Hunter went down the very first play. Our offense struggled badly at the first, but Bray ended up throwing 3 tds and almost 300 yards.
UGA- Completely smothered Da'rick and played great defensively. When you have no running game and your only player is not open, your screwed.
UK- He was no where near 100%. He had the flu, and still had to use the pistol formation because it hurt his thumb to bad to go under center.
USCe- Is a good team. When you have a coach for over 4 years, he gets to bring his players in and will have quality players to sub in and out. We still played them very well considering it was Worley's first start ever.
Again, most teams have experienced, quality players behind the starters. We don't have that. While most teams get to redshirt players who aren't ready, we have to play them because of depth.
