lol @ Missouri fans that are so dense that they can't acknowledge that we had QB killa as our head coach up until just 4 years ago. It is absolutely retarded to try to come to any conclusions about the current status of our program by referencing the Nutt era. COMPLETELY different offenses.

So if Auburn under Chiz is so great at developing QB's how do you explain the non-Cam years?
all 2 of them? that's not a lot of time to develop a QB.

but 1 is enough to 'develop' Cam?

Watch where Ryan Tannehill gets drafted and then get back to me.

Whatever happened to Brian Brohm

Am I missing something? So what QB has Petrino put in the NFL that has done more than hold a clipboard?
Posted on 2/8/12 at 8:14 pm to LoyalTiger
The coach that put more QB's in NFL is Jeff Tedford as O.C. at Frenso and Oregon and Head Coach at Cal

I post accurate information and I'm spot on in my estimation of Missouri’s Athletics. If that hurts you damn feelings than that’s too bad. The track record is that this year’s seniors are Petrinos first at Arkansas and he has had two starting QB during that time. Ryan Mallett, who is already in the NFL, and Tyler Wilson will be one of the first QBs taken next year’s draft.
In addition, 3 Hog receivers will be playing in the NFL next year to go along with TE DJ Williams, the 2010 Mackey Award winner, and Chris Gragg, who projected to be on the top TEs taken in the 2013 draft. Throw in Cobi Hamilton, who is being projected to be one of the first WR taken in the 2013 draft and one can easily make a strong argument that Petrino has an outstanding track record of being able to put QB’s and WRs in the NFL.
When Knile Davis is taken in the first 2 rounds next year, Perino will continue to add to his outstanding track record of putting “skill” players in the NFL.
If you can’t see that then either you have no interest in seeing it or you are incapable if seeing it. Either way you just make yourself look uninformed and foolish.

Cam didn't need to be developed.. his point was that AU has produced more NFL ready QB's than Arkansas recently. Cam is one of the best players in SEC history though so I don't necessarily agree with him.

If I'm not mistaken the original OP was just about best sec school for qb's, then the whole "who want to go to the nfl" got added later.

Great receivers, good coaches, good line-all a good quarterback could ask for.
It is a very good school but if I were a QB and Spurrier said I would start right away, that is where I would geaux.

Delaware has more QB's (Joe Flacco Baltimore,Pat Devlin Miami) on current NFL rosters

Mizzou actually is a good place for a talented QB to go play, Yost has done a very good job developing great college QBs (the last two of whom did get drafted)
I am heavily biased against them as a #1 but that may be unfair

Cam was gonna have a good year and be drafted high probably no matter where he went in the SEC. The point Hog fans are making is that for a QB coming outta high school, Arkansas has a good environment set up (good o-line, great offensive coach, good wr's and te's) for a great career and (nobody knows yet) an NFL career.

Basically, your arguement is that Petrino is the best QB coach. My question is who has he put in the NFL that has done more than hold a clipboard. Yea, Mallett is there, but you never know how he will do. His other high profile QB was Brian Brohm. He couldn't beat out Matt Flynn.
Recent history...
LSU has Flynn in the pros. Probably one of the hottest free agents at QB this coming year.
Bama put Brodie Croyle (sp?) in. Didn't light it up, put started. They also have AJ at the Jets.
Florida = Tebow
Georgia = Stafford (pretty damn successful)
Ole Miss = Eli (pretty good)
Auburn = Cam (not bad)
So how can you say Arkansas (Petrino) is the best place for a QB?

Petrino coached him well enough to get drafted, the rest is up to the player and that's all a player can ask of a college coach. Make him the best he is capable of being.
A lot of NLF players don’t make it in the NFL and there are a variety of reasons why. Desire, injuries, and sometimes a player just can’t make the adjustment.

not so fast... AJ is still with the Tide.

Because they are "system QBs" that don't translate to Pro system.
