Any of y'all think Peyton Manning becomes an SEC HC soon?

by soon I mean in the next 2-5 yrs? I personally believe he'd be a excellent QB and/or OC coordinator.

Naahhh, he'll be an NFL OC then he'll be an NFL HC IMO.

Even though unorthodox, I would get a few rounds in the NFL first.

Head coach? No. The great players rarely make good HCs. He will be on ESPN.

I don't know he just jumps in as a OC. If he shows what we all know to be true, then his rise in the ranks will be fast. Is it certain he will go to the SEC though?

I don't think so. Would be nice for us if he would cause he would probably want to coach at UT above anywhere else
ETA: if he would even be a good coach which isn't necessarily the case

If Eli wins Super Bowl this Sunday can you make a viable argument that Eli > Peyton?
Eli would have proven to be more clutch in the playoffs, which is what counts the most.

Great pro players rarely make great coaches. Johnny Majors and Steve Spurrier were legendary college football players but neither did anything of note in the pros. It's easier to coach up a player with lesser physical ability when you were one yourself. Peyton Manning would probably have as much success coaching football as Ted Williams did as a baseball manager. Williams was a hitting genius but he was just unable to do anything trying to coach up players with significantly less talent than himself.

He might buy a Pro team and be an owner......coach....never....

I don't think he will and it is JMO and I could be wrong. But I think being a phenomenal individual football player requires a bit of narcissism and self centered obsession that is not quite compatible with coaching (when it is no longer about your performance)
You don't see very many people who are both great players and great coaches. Usually it is one or the other and often great players suck as coaches

I would fapfapfapfap till I died if he ever became LSU's QB Coach/OC. Imagine the QBs we would FINALLY land

He will do a little tv until he becomes an assistant in the NFL. Then who knows.

I don't think he would be a good HC. IMO, but unless he's a GREAT speaker/motivator, many great players expect too much out of players that just may not be as good.
from a qb perspective, how could you think you could live up to his expectations? How would he react if you didn't live up to his expectations, which judging from his own of himself, are pretty damn high?

Are you serious? How many all-pro NFL QBs have started a coaching career in their late 30s? Not many. In fact, I can't think of a single successful NFL QB that is currently rising through the coaching ranks, other than the possibility of Jim Harbaugh. If anything, he would become a coach at the NFL level over the next several years. Recruiting alone, at the college level, would be his down fall. He's never done it.
