Since I wont be returning to the Auburn thread until Feb, RockyMtnTiger: You will probably get a commit or two when the kids get home and tell their parents and sometimes it hits them. Tyren Jones did that for us.

Since December, we've all heard rumblings that Reggie Ragland could get a look at Hback/TE. For what it is worth, I don't think there's any way this happens.

I continue to hear two things from sources close to the situation. First, Alabama isn't as deep at inside linebacker as they would like to be. One injury from the big three and the position could get thin quick. We know about the big three, but Saban/Smart love the big athletes for the position and Ragland fits the bill. Of the three, there's not that big nasty athlete that the staff likes. Nico has the size, but he's not an elite athlete like Hightower.

Second, Ragland is a great athlete and fits the mold of McClain and Hightower, and some think he is a better athlete than both and that would be saying something. He had a great showing at the all-star camp and I'm hearing the coaches are very excited to get him in fall camp. There is definitely an opportunity to make the rotation at inside linebacker and I don't think there's any question that is where he will play.

I think a lot of the Hback rumblings are because the Tide staff is not really pleased with what they have at the position right now -- especially after coming off a great season from Brad S.

I'm hearing the same passed the 2 classes that looked bleak, gotta take some Summer classes, dad and Saban chewed his arse out multiple times and Coach Nuss sat down with him and his dad and expressed his interest him in staying, just what I heard I'll believe all this when I SEE him suit up

I have my doubts, but it's something to keep on eye on I guess.

Been banned twice recently 1 St for about a month after drunk posting about his escapades with hookers and blow

And then started multiple threads on one of the LSU boards not sure of details of that one, that was like another month I think, but Chad, RS, and Mag could verify this better they are more versed in the situation than I am

Everyone involved was SHOCKED he passed the classes, but apparently if/when Cris gets involved and after his arse about it the situation totally changed, I say attempt to hire him as WRs coach, but he makes WAAAAY more than he would now but he has hella money

I think Carter could coach, and even probably recruit pretty good. But wouldn't he have to start as a grad assistant? If so it would have to be something he would really, really, wanted to do and probably continue to do even after his son left.

Has attempted before to break into college coaching, but other opportunities arose, always promised himself to give back by staying as a HS WR coach so he could DEFINITELY do it he is a VERY good WRs coach, would be an upgrade as a position coach, but he's never recruited a day in his life bit the attention of adding him would be ridiculous from prospects I'm pretty sure, he is arguably one of the greatest WRs of all time
