I think updyke should be sentence to have to stand at toomers corner like a tree after every Auburn home win and be rolled. Thus the tradition doesnt miss a beat. Could call it Updykes corner. Fans could chant "Roll Harvey Roll". Would be a family friendly event.

and never attend a Crimson Tide sporting event for the rest of his life, a source close to the case told ESPN.com on Friday.

A little prospective, IT'S A FEW "TREES", DUDE!!!
Fine the idiot and ban him from ALL college sporting events played within the state of Alabama, but for the love of God do NOT make the ENTIRE state of Alabama pay for this dumb asses up keep for the next 13 years because he killed some damn trees!
13 years (or even a year) for killing some shitty trees on AU's campus is even more stupid than Updyke's thoughtless act.

Just not with new paper.

If I was Harvey I would just go back to Toomers Corner and cut those damn trees down with a chain saw. If I'm gonna do 13 years I'm gonna make sure those trees never come back. If you do the time make sure you at least finish the crime.
Why don't you try it for him. Harvey's going to be in jail.

Probation
Huge fine
Shitload of community service in auburn.
Any jail time over 6 months in county is ridiculous.

It's not like he really did anything wrong?

When Charles Barkley calls the plea bargain for someone that poisoned Toomer's "crazy", you know you have gone overboard.

Give him 5 years non-consecutively served on the day before, of, and after every Alabama football game.

Not exactly the same.

Sad to see some gumps on here try and defend their hero Harvey backdoor style. They skirt around the jail sentence issue saying that he should not get jail time or very little but what they are really hoping for is that the new co-star of the new reality show "Too Full of Bama" will walk free. Why don't you just come out and say it: I love what he did and if he walks I will laugh my arse off. The same people feel the same way about the teabagger.

you are right.. This one is about an Alabama fan not something to do with Auburn. Charles Barkley is a dumbass, I wouldn't put to much stock into anything he says.

Moron! Harvey is no ones hero. The topic of discussion is an absurb sentence for a stupid crime. We'd be arguing the same thing if some booger eater tried to poison Denny Chimes.

Oh Really! Tell that to all of those gumps that keep getting their picture made with him. He may not be yours, but he is a hero to alot of bammers that think what he did was just great.
