Harbaugh is a top 3 football coach in the NFL IMO

He's the better coach. You're just a homer.

In the end though, Harbaugh hasn't won anything. I think 3-0 is undesputable.
I do think Harbaugh walked into a little better of a situation with the 49ers than Saban did with the Dolphins, but Harbaugh has still taken a previously 6-10 team and went 13-3 with essentially the same team.
With the level of competition in the NFL I don't see how you can equate the college system to the NFL playoffs. Unless there's some sort of BCSNC to Super Bowls conversion chart I'm not aware of.

1championship = 1championehip

I don't care much for this argument, but the only area you can call mediocre on SF is the WRs. The rest of it is a really good team.
Eh, the offensive and defensive lines are definitely solid. Obviously Davis and Gore are big time for them but I would have trouble describing the others as "really good"

So the difficulty level to win a super bowl is equal to that for a national championship?

OK Bama fans...let's play the what if game...
If Jim Harbaugh had talent at Bama, do you not think he could not win a championship? The answer would be yes.
Now, answer this, do you think if Saban had what is in San Fran, do you think he would coach them to the NFC Championship Game?
Get your head out of your arses....Harbaugh is wins this one.

He hasn't even won the superbowl, yet...
A playoff win and an inflated NFC west record isn't a big deal, unless you're a Cowboy fan.

The roster Harbaugh inherited at San Francisco >>>>>>>>>>>>>> the roster Saban inherited at Miami. Mike Nolan built the team that Harbaugh is winning with right now. Even their QB Alex Smith who is considered a big weakness on their team is a hell of a lot better than what Saban had at QB with the Dolphins.

It's ok....Big Jim if he walked in what Saban had at Bama, he would have some rings as well. Would Saban have the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game if he was coaching the team?

If Saban coached against that pathetic Defense that the saints trotted out there, yes, he could win. Anyone could win!

Interesting, but didn't Saban pass on
Not only Saban could not coach in the NFL, his personal picks sucked as well

You can be a really good team without having a great QB. They have a weakness at WR, but they do have a #1 target in VD. Crabtree would be a good #2 or even a 1A-1B, but not as a stand alone receiver. Braylon Edwards was suppose to be that other WR, but he couldn't get on the field.
The defense speaks for itself, playmakers on each level...

Saban didn't pass on Brees. He wanted to sign Brees desperately. It was the Dolphins medical staff that passed on Saban over Saban's wishes.

Harbaugh, for one reason: Alex Smith is now a success story over the course of a season. Everything else is equal.

Both Saban & Harbaugh are great coaches
Both walked into different NFL situations
To try to compare the two would be difficult
I'm happy with what Saban has done while at Bama
So that will have to do, I suppose

If you have two teams with equal talent, I want Harbaugh coaching mine.
