The thing you notice off the bat when you watch Kiel on film is how much of a timing driven read option offense he plays in and its wide open spread the closest comparison I can make is to Holgorsen O at WVU, so to me it is a lot harder to evals his talent than say a Jameis Winston or even Mettenberger when he was in HS and ran a much more traditional O with a solid run game etc.
I find it funny though this year that LSU might end up with the shotgun type pocket passer that usually goes to Bama and Bama will likely end up with the dual threat guy the type LSU has been known to sign, fwiw though I think Jameis is a much better passer at this point than any dual threat guys LSU or Bama has had for that matter in the past decade. He is a monster, took a perenially terrible HS team to the state Champ game, he is the real deal.

JC Shurburt just posted a Kiel update and it was only for Blue and Gold Illustrated.

I agree with this 100%, but there's a strong chance Jameis goes the MLB route, which makes Kiel the better prospect IMO.
I think Winston is the number one player in the country, but you must have a coaching staff willing to take the risk. Hell, he may play college baseball for three years and turn pro during his redshirt sophomore year in football.
You never know with baseball talents like Winston. LSU has had their fair share, and honestly, I wish we would turn away players like Winston because they can absolutely do more harm to a program than good when they make a decision a week into fall camp to sign with an MLB team.
